Just wanted to say I am a skarner main and your guide back when i started was the greatest starting point. I was able to use it as i learned and it carried me through all my wins as him. Now after learning him fully and learning items I can now adjust this build for the right occasion but overall this build still hits the point. With a 71% win rate with skarner as of right now. Great guide man and thanks for the start of my league of legends time.

I've only got a chance at Skarner this week due to free rotation, and I gotta say I'm loving him except one thing.

Ganks. He sucks at them. I mean, he has no gap closer pre-6 and at 6 at most he can flash+ult.
But on to my point, since he can't chase almost at all, wouldn't Frozen Mallet be a better choice on him than say the extra randuin or the GA? With a single hit he can finally chase effectively instead of being laughed at while running nearly twice as fast. Skillshotting E perfectly and its cooldown don't make for a good argument I'm afraid.

I can't really agree with him having bad ganks. You just need an E to slow, and then a stun when you reach them, and then you slow with Q. Mallet will slow aswell as this but I don't really see it being necisarry. That's for me, I think it's really easy to hit the E.

Yea, I think it's ok, but Cinderhulk provide more to the table in the long run. I think I'll add warrior to the 2nd choice, because the stats provided helps more than Devourer and possibly Runic Echoes.
