This is my first build i would ilke to excuse myself if its very briefly.

Sona has no memories of her true parents. As an infant, she was found abandoned on the doorstep of an Ionian adoption house, nestled atop an ancient instrument in an exquisite case of unknown origins. She was an unusually well-behaved child, always quiet and content. Her caretakers were sure she would find a home quickly, but it soon became apparent that what they mistook for uncommon geniality was actually an inability to speak or to produce any sound whatsoever. Sona remained at the adoption house until her teens, watching in hopeless silence as prospective adopters passed her by. During this time, the caretakers sold her unusual instrument to anxious collectors, hoping to build her a trust. For a myriad of bizarre and unexpected reasons, however, it would be returned, or simply appear again outside the house.

Greater Mark of Insight: magic penetration

we want our spells te be subtile but hurt damn much

Greater Seal of Replenishment:0,41 mana regen/5sec

we want to be able to cast as much as posible(dmg/heal)
also early game you may be OOM but your mana will come back fast enough

Greater Glyph of Focus: 0,65% cooldown reduction

we dont like waiting to cast our spells and neihter our friends they rely on you for some healing ;-)

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude: +26health

helps early game to not die after 2 hits ^^,


if you prefer and want to go full dmg you may prefer:Greater Quintessence of Insight:+1.89 magic penetration to hurt even more

mainbuild
most of the time i just reach these items and the game ends

but if you manage to get lots of gold or the game takes very long
buildup
if you are fairly new to sona and die fast early game i would suggest you start with an dorans ring this will give you +100 Health\n+5 Mana Regen per 5 sec\n+15 Ability Power and then build a tear of the goddess

what you really want to know is that after 3 shot you get the power chord,[after casting 3 spells, Sona's next attack deals bonus magic damage. Additionally]
you need to keep this in mind. So what you do is Always keep 2 Chord's up if an EnemyPlayer tries to engage in to a fight

early game... heal your lany or damage the enemy and shoot your power chord at him this will do some pretty damage
when reaching 6 you get your ultimate this is an OAE stun, here we do the same thing we try to keep 2 chords up at before entering a battle, we shoot or crescendo at the group of enemy's and automatic we get our 3chord that gives us the powerchord to boost some damage.
lich bane and our powerchord have an nice synergy as it procs together

When your team engages with the other team into an Teamfight its a great idee and it should be an automatic reaction to pres R when you see that you can stun 3 or more,
also when youre teammate gets focused in lane and he/she wont survive shoot your Ulti and try to hit as much as posible enemy's to stun them and get your teammate to the safety of the tower.
when they try to turretdive you don't hesitate to try stunning the divers at turret. they wil receive additional dmg of you and the turret if you manage to clear the creeps fast enough.

if you see your teammate is in problem and being chased by several other enemy's run slightly towards him and keep spamming this spell he will get extra speedbonus of your auro but also get an Bot(Buff over Time) increasing his speed 6/8/10/12/14% for 1,5 sec
it will defently safe his or their lives and also yours.
