For + and - comments, please leave a comment on why you're doing it! I need feedback in order to progress the guide.

i made an account specifically to comment on this build. I think that overall it seems pretty good and is fairly similar to what i use but i almost never get past 4 items. Just a quick question though what do you think about locket and rageblade. I haven't tested the locket yet but it seems like by the time you could buy it its benefits aren't necessary. As for the rageblade i have bought it in one game and it was good but somewhat underwhelming. A typical score for me is 2-4 kills 0-2 deaths and 12-20 assists. by the way i totally agree ont eh summoner spells and thats exactly what i use.

I can see rageblade being useful, but I don't see it being more useful than mejai's because of the 15% CDR at max stacks. I'd have to number crunch whether it is more useful than lichbane. The big bonus about Lichbane is when it procs at the same time as your passive. The increased attack damage from your passive + the increased attack damage from Lichbane makes some really big hits. I don't usually get far past the Lichbane in most games. In addition, the increase in mana also has synergy with Archangel's Staff, giving you even more AP.

As for Locket, I would use it if I were getting more support-like items. I think since it lacks in AP it's useless for this kind of build. I also stay away from it generally since the nerfs.

Thanks for the comment!

So, i like the idea, but i really dont care for the summoner spells. Clarity means you arent running the right items and Teleport is not a true escape mechanic.

I wont downvote you, but i can't upvote either. Sorry :(

Seems like a solid build. Haven't fully tried it yet but plan on it very soon. Thank you for the guide.

Anna,

Teleport isn't an escape mechanic, it is to have quick access to your team in order to support them. Her escape mechanic is Song of Celerity

Also, summoner spells are preferential as explained. I explained why I chose both Clarity and Teleport. Often times early in the game Clarity will be beneficial to many team members. Also as the goal is to aura-dance here, which means a lot of skill usage, mana can run low.

Can't believe this got down-voted at all. It allows you to be great support throughout the game and eventually become powerful range dps while still supporting. +1

Still have no comments on the down votes unfortunately. I think the pictures of my games should be proof enough that the build works well. I'm hoping more people like Chronos and Kavarek see the guide ^_^

Your guide is fine, its just that for a champ like Sona trying to shoehorn her into the DPS/caster role when she's better suited as the support/cleric isnt very reliable since her AP ratio isnt that good. Hymn only has a .6 ratio and deals at level 5 270, so even with what your have for cooldowns and AP your only spiking for approximately 600 every 5.5 seconds, where a champ like Annie or Vlad can do that every 2-3 seconds. As for Crescendo its ratio is .7 and deals 350 at max, so at best its only 700 to anyone caught in the area. Its not bad, but others are better suited to the role. With Lich bane though it makes it easier to deal out damage because of its passive but for the time invested and money you could be doing better things.
