Question, do you think front of life is really that ok on soraka? After using it for a while i found that it only did about 200-300 healing by the end of the game. would you think this really matters all too much?

has been my choice for a while for it's synergy with Q and the early trading potential, but going is a great option too!
The problem here is not that is mediocre, it's that and aren't that great, the first being situational: is only useful versus Hook Catchers (Blitzcrank or Pyke), although running would benefit even more. isn't good at all, so a pick I wouldn't recommend.

TL;DR: is better generally, is a great pick IF you use reliably, I would say using is even better when using [Barrier]], but that's your own taste.
