Master Yi Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello, this is my first time doing a review here on mobafire, so tell me if im doing a horrible job. Master Yi is my main guy, i played around 30 matches with him, and almost all ended up being victory. For all the new players here, MASTER YI IS NOT A TANK! He is a carry and a speedy one. He aces top with the highest attack speed. He is a good starting guy for beginners. (But is not even considered a real champ by experienced players). His ultimate is very good, since it boosts his attack speed and movement speed. His first skill, alpha strikeis a great skill, for instance u r farming this enemy, he stuns u and starts to run away, u catch up to him, but hes next to his tower, at this time use alpha strike and ull get a kill(not guaranteed). His second skill, meditatehelps u stay alive in the ur lane for longer periods of time so u get more experience and gold. It also give u 300 bouns armor and magic resistance while ur channeling. The third skill, wuju stylejust gives u a good amount of attack damage, the passive is 35 at max level, and its passive to double the passive for 10 seconds.
Well, for the items, u really go to buy the attack speed ones, such as phantom dancer. Three of those will get ur attack speed will be around 2.500. Since phantom dancer also increases movement speed, ur movement speed will be somewhere in the 500's. With the help of the Berserker's Greaves. I tried my movement speed to be around 800, with the help of highlander and ghost along with it. Infite Edge is a must, since it adds beast damage and criticals will deal 200% damage, and adds a 25% percent chance. Last whisper adds damage and armor penetration. A phantom dancer or bloodthirster can be the alternative for Last Whisper. Thormail is a must for Master Yi, it adds 100 armor and 35% of the damage dealt to him is transferred back to the dealter as magic damage. The black cleaver is a good item, adding attack speed and attack damage. As well as deacreaing the target's armor by 15 for 5 seconds. However if u r facing a strong mage type of champ, i recommend u switch this item for a magic resistance item like force of nature.
Pros / Cons
-Great attack speed
-Able to deal tons of damage in just a matter of seconds
-Destroys towers easily
-Squishy in early game
-Dies easily when is focused by magic champions
-A stun or disable ruins everything for him
Master Yi farms minons very easily. With his great attack speed, and his alpha strike, every minon he sees is going to be dead.
Enemies to look out for
Even though Master Yi is a great killer, he gets killed very easily by other champions too.
