Introduction

Viktor is a ranged mage with a mix of single target spells, area-of-effect crowd control, vector-targeting, and re-positional damage. This versatility is further augmented by his unique passive: a permanent item with different upgrade paths providing Viktor with both increased stats and bonus effects on one of his abilities. This high-skill cap mage is the perfect choice for those who wish to gain the advantage via their strategic decision making.

Runes

For Marks, I take 9 Greater Marks of Insight for Magic penetration. It's an overall good rune to carry.

Seals, I take 9 Greater Seals of Vitality for increasing Health. Once again, you need a lot of survivability to stay in fights for a long time. These Seals will give you enough health to survive.

Glyphs, I take Ability power with 9 Greater Glyphs of Potency; These runes will give you enough AP for early game.

Quintessences, I normally take 3 Greater Quintessences of Force, to give AP per level. These runes will give you more Ability power, so defending your lane will get an easy job.

Masteries

This talent tree will make it alot easier to lane against alot of AP Champions.
The tenacity will get you out of stuns (Veigar), slows (Kassadin), snares (Lux, Morgana) etc.
before getting the whole combo. Laning will be made easier, and your survivability will rise.

Summoner Spells

Ghost: Much better then Flash. Will give you the oppurtunity to chase down enemies way better.

Teleport: Get your items and teleport back to your lane quick. Ignite is possible if you like it. But I think Teleport is better in the laning phase.
