Intro
In here I will compare Healing Support, give numbers, and costs to do so. All numbers are Facts, Numbers are based off Max Skill level, all +% Boosts are based on a solid 100, This allows you to both see the power and show the +% (being +45% at 100 AP is, 45) and all opinions, are well, opinion.
The guide will be in a simple layout, Naming the Champion, the Healing Skill, and This information:
Healing Skill: Skill Name
Cost: Resource to Cast
Base Heal: Base health gained
Bonus: Bonus from +AP
Total: Total Healing Per Cast
CoolDown: How long in-between casts (in seconds)
HP/SEC: The health gained compared to the time to recast (Total/CD).
HP/MP: How much health is gained per MP spent
Extra: Anything else this spell does to alter gameplay (+armor, speed, etc..)

Alistar
Healing Skill: Triumphant Roar
All Team healing is (halved)
Conclusion:
Here we see that Triumphant Roar changes based off if it is a self heal or team heal. Alistar has high heal potential, but is nerfed due to the fact team heal is halved. Skill would be useful to run Alistar as a tank, using support to assist in the down-time.

EXTRA: | This skill is halved to any Allies caught in the area, it also has a CD reduction of 2seconds per nearby Enemy Champion death, meaning, the more you kill, the more you heal. |
Conclusion:

Skill is an Elite (lvl6)
Conclusion:
Janna is defined as a Ranged Support. While her skills assist team members in Speed and movement, only her "Elite" skill can heal.

Conclusion:
Janna is defined as a Ranged Support. While her skills assist team members in Speed and movement, only her "Elite" skill can heal.
Lulu
Healing Skill: Wild Growth
Skill is an Elite (lvl6)
Conclusion:
Wild Growth is an Elite skill that adds 650 life for 7 seconds, so in a way, it is heal, but more so a health buff.

Wild Growth is an Elite skill that adds 650 life for 7 seconds, so in a way, it is heal, but more so a health buff.
Nami
Healing Skill: Ebb and Flow
Skill is a bounce cast.
Conclusion:
Ebb and Flow has decent potential, however, the bounce patterns are: Friendly:Hostile:Friendly, OR, Hostile:friendly:Hostile. The skill will not hit the same target twice, and will follow the bounce pattern.

Conclusion:

Nidalee
Healing Skill: Primal Surge
Skill is standard click to cast.
Conclusion:
Nadilee is a Assassin/Support, or so they say. The potential for her heals are very high, it has a good base, and good +ap %, however, being that shes an melee assassin, getting focused will be incredible easy. Be wary.

Nadilee is a Assassin/Support, or so they say. The potential for her heals are very high, it has a good base, and good +ap %, however, being that shes an melee assassin, getting focused will be incredible easy. Be wary.
Sona
Healing Skill: Aria of Perseverance
Skill is standard click to cast.
Conclusion:
Sona is a support. While she is also ranged, all of her skills support your team some how. Shes an easy to use Champion, and beneficial to all game plays.

Sona is a support. While she is also ranged, all of her skills support your team some how. Shes an easy to use Champion, and beneficial to all game plays.
Soraka
Healing Skill: Astral Blessing
Skill is standard click to cast.
Healing Skill: Wish
Skill is an Elite (lvl6) Fire and forget.
Conclusion:
Soraka is a very useful Support Champion to play, she has an AOE, Healing, and MP recovery.

Conclusion:
Soraka is a very useful Support Champion to play, she has an AOE, Healing, and MP recovery.
Taric
Healing Skill: Imbue
Skill is standard click to cast, adding +40% If self cast.
Conclusion:
Taric is a tank. His cooldown is modified by how often he hits. So the more in your face he is, the faster he can heal.

Conclusion:
Taric is a tank. His cooldown is modified by how often he hits. So the more in your face he is, the faster he can heal.
This concludes my brief guide on heals. It's mostly numbers, and a quick idea of what will happen. Guide will be updated as changes occur.
The is no such thing as "The Best" healer/support. While Soraka has the hardest hit healing spell, the cooldown might not chive with the game tempo, and might be better suited for Sona, with her fast and low heals.
