@Dragon - She definitely isn't a full tank, just very tanky. The problem with buying a bunch of mana items is that she is a support, so she won't be getting a bunch of items. I get a few MP5 items, enough to give me over 20 MP5 with my runes. This is usually enough as long as you don't spam your spear too much.

@Minami - I was debating whether to add in a section for pounce, but every other guide seemed to have a huge section on it. Since the way you use pounce doesn't change between builds, I figured that there were plenty of other guides that explained it well enough. However, making a guide on it right here might be useful, so I might do that. As for AP or AD items, like I said to dragon: support Nidalee doesnt get much gold. Instead of getting damage items, you need to use your limited money on MP5 and health items so you can be useful late game.

Your title gives an impression it is a guide, being cougar form based, yet you state it is mana hungry. Anyways, you should add a video, of places where you could leap (as cougar form), and you state the damage is high, therefore should add some AD or AP for the damage output, as your items are mainly based on tankiness.

I love this guide, the only personal issue is tank nid?, i honestly can't see it happening only because I don't think iv'e ever seen a tank nid it doesn't mean its not possible. The only thing I feel like it would be is a problem with the mana, everything else is great but if you switch up mana items here and there i think this build can be great. good job though +1
