This sin't the best guide i've ever read, just because it has so big texts blocs.

However, its content has a rare quality and the author has totally understood the champion.
Syndra has pretty decent early/mid damage without much AP items, so get her more survivability and take AP late game.

I'm playing her for about 2 weeks now, and I just can say i've been pretty low building full AP.
After getting some experience & tests, I now like to play her with a lot of movement speed (Quints & masteries) :
It helps her a lot due to her low range (same as vlad IMO), and makes your ennemies crazy as you are moving even more quickly and don't even stop to cast.

I don't think she's really a burster, as she needs some time to land all her spells (typically ~3-5 seconds) and i see her more like a duelist.

Finally i'd like to recommand you to test an early lich bane on syndra (2nd or 3rd item). It gives you even more movement speed, and the passive procs 24/7 due to Q low cooldown. I find this weird than none of the Syndra builds mentions it..

Good work for this guide ; its the only Syndra one (for now) that I don't think is 80% useless.
Cheers

Where to begin, jeez. First of all, thanks for the feedback, but keep personal preference out of it, and remember that most of the itemization, runes, and masteries I put into the guide are OPTIONAL and, ESPECIALLY the top recommended items, are purely at a glance items that a new player would use this guide for. If you are new to Syndra and AP mid in general, you should pick up defensive items. Also, if you get fed, their Riven or their Irelia will focus you hard, and without armor or someway to counteract it, you will die. You're a squishy, and your only defense is your E. In regards to Athene's, it's personal preference, as you had stated before. I find spamming my abilities more flexible than going straight damage. Remember, you can't burst anyone if you have no mana to kill them with, and blue buff is just too unreliable with all the counter jungling madness. I generally give my blue to my Jungler if they can use it. I can get mana regen, they can't.

I like to read, that's just me. I'd prefer to read a novel on Syndra than look at a pretty picture that doesn't give any information on its own until elaborated upon. Again, personal preference, and since that's mine, I will keep it the way it is.

Force of Will is definitely an easy spell to use, lol. Comparatively to a rapid fire, wide skill shot, quick cast time Q and a super fast, high skill cap skillshot like your E, and a point and click ult like hers, Force of Will is really easy to use. If you say that it's hard to use, then I recommend you practice more with it. Once you get a feel for it, you'll get better.

I know my guide can improve a lot, I never said it was perfect.

THIS sentence explained your entire comment. You have a Syndra guide too eh? Well, I will certainly be looking forward to reading yours as well. Ofc, all information is welcome information. Good luck on your guide.

Too lazy to reply this time but I will say that Zhonya's is the defense item you need against people like Riven and Irelia. The GA is nice but unnecessary. It's not like you'll be running straight at them saying "Riven, Irelia I love you booooth!! Come..I'll feed you!" when playing as Syndra.

Meh..probably not gonna vote because I don't like downvoting people's guides all that much even when I don't agree with them but I will tell you what I like and what I don't like about the guide.

What I like - I like how you say things that are completely true like Syndra being able to sometimes initiate late game with her Q+E combo or how her ranges late game aren't too big and you need very smart positioning on her.

I also like your runes. Not the same as mine but very similar and I find yours just as optimal as mine. It's just preference I guess.

What I don't like - Your Item build. It's not optimal at all. You rarely need GA on a mage especially one like Syndra. Athene's is not even that necessary on her anymore. Some people do get it but a lot of others don't and I agree with those who don't. You need burst as Syndra and Athene's gets in the way of you getting more burst. Sure it makes you a bit tankier but your positioning should be all the defenses you need. Not MR.

I also don't like the huge text walls. Add at least maybe color to the text or something..I dunno. I don't normally look a lot at the BB Coding of a guide but your guide really does have a lot of text walls.

And finally I don't like when you say things that are completely wrong. For example you say Force of Will is an easy to use spell. That is not true at all. When you throw something at someone the time it takes for your spell to land isn't exactly that small making this hard to land sometimes. It may seem easy to use but it's not if you're throwing an enemy minion or your ball at a long a distance.

Like I said I probably won't vote but in my opinion the guide can improve a lot. You better improve it because my Syndra guide is a beast (never worked harder on a guide before) and is gonna be released once I get guide graphics. So you're gonna have some serious competition from me! :)

I honestly don't get why people say Syndra is hard I mean my first game as her I didn't read the guide but followed the build and i went 11-5 but i guess i was against Ahri, but my second game as her i went against Lux and I went 20-10 but so far i love Syndra so much. In my second game the enemy jungle Shaco came to gank me and i got a double kill on Lux and Shaco :D +1

+1 on it because of information, but as everyone is saying, BB coding will definitely help get your audience's attention. Also, your BB coding that you have can get a bit weird (e.g. Pros/Cons section), if you need some help with the BB coding, click here.

Your guide helped me understand Syndra, but it also helped me understand how hard and impossible for me she is.

I would really like to see her shine and get played more. But being so much harder than say...that Annie or Zyra( that FACE-ROLL who RIOT said would be a hard champ ) makes her a really non-shiny option for the masses :(.

Good content you have there, you got a +1 from me!

I agree it is good guide, and after digesting the information i can understand what you mean, but the Wall of text concept is very discouraging, try coloring text, adding pictures, splitting stuff up with lines and make more general sections, like an entire chapter for items, one for Masteries and one for Runes. Right now i think the information is perfect, it just needs some style to catch the readers eye, like how TV has a commercial every 15 minutes then suddenly BAM! the show is back and people are interested. I will upvote to keep it up here in the top.
