Introduction

You decided to try out this badass **********er? Cool, I did too, and I don't regret a single bit of it because this guy's awesome with low cooldowns, great farm tools and great burst to finish his Anti-Carrying job. Talon's an awesome assassin because he can stick with who he's targeting and if he fails to kill the first time, he can strike again really fast because of his 40 second ultimate with 13-25% cooldown reduction depending on what you buy. I personally think he's OP which is great, and in this build, he won't be ridiculously squishy, atleast at early-game he won't, so he can do an all-out bully-harass lane and destroy enemy laning phase.

NOTE:
That I will be updating this guide often and improving it.

Pros/Cons

Pros:
(+) Great Burst
(+) Great farming tool
(+) Relative low cooldowns
(+) Has a silencing blink
Cons:
(-) Blink has 18 second cooldown early-game
(-) Farming tool isn't too strong early-game
(-) Not much to gain from his passive (No lane partner to help CC)

Summoner Spells

Usuals:[/color]
I take Flash because it's the most OP summoner spell in the game of course.
I take Ignite to add-on to my burst.
Possibilities:
Exhaust- You can take the one mastery from Archmage's Savvy and put it in the exhaust upgrade.
Teleport- If you're in ELO Hell or play normals, you might be put in a situation to solo-top and the enemy team might possibly have no jungler, then you may grab this.
Ghost- It's POSSIBLE, but Flash is the more overpowered, and everyone has to use the more overpowered. Although some characters are better with Ghost then Flash, Talon is not one of them. So it's better to grab Flash, but if you really want to, you can grab this.
NEVER:
Clairvoyance- Leave this **** to the support.
Heal- Lolno, high CDs and can't grab you kills? Heh, no.
Clarity- Talon doesn't have mana problems at all, unless you've been laning for a ridiculously long time or just spamming your Rake with one minion at a time.
Eveyrthing else shouldn't be bothered to mention.

Masteries

I go 21/9/0 instead of 21/0/9 to help Talon with those annoyances like Gangplank, Morgana, Annie, etc etc. This is because the mastery tree in Utility doesn't really help as much as Defense can for Talon. Unless of course, you're using Ghost/Teleport like I mentioned before at the Summoner Spells chapter. Other then that, I don't think any of the masteries on the Utility Mastery Tree would work on Talon.

Runes

Marks of Desolation- Self explanatory, all AD characters use this.
Seals of Resilience- Helps Talon against tough AD characters like Gangplank, etc.
Glyphs of Shielding- This is to help Talon against his contenders in middle lane, you can substitute these for Glyphs of Warding, of course.
Quintessence of Strength- Most games I play with Talon,I have trouble getting real damage in with Rake in early game, so I get these to give me that little boost.

Only other changes I think would work would be changing your Quintessences to Swiftness, Fortitude or Desolation, any of these are fine.

Items

First Run

andfor lane sustain and to reach for your early harass.

Second Run

and aif you got a kill or did quite a good amount of farm.

Third Run

and then yourorBy this run, you should be breaking laning phase and ganking the other lanes so you could win the rest if all goes well for you

End Items

Defensive Items

oror
These items are ordered on how well they work on Talon as defensive items.

Skill Sequence

I level up Rake first because it's a great farming tool and helps me most with my passive. I level up Noxian Diplomacy after for great damage output. Leveling up Cutthroat last because it doesn't do any damage and will lack giving you damage if you level it up first, I get it at level three for the silence, flash and a great start to get to harassment. Level up Shadow Assault whenever available of course. Sometimes, you should level up Noxian Diplomacy over Rake if you're vsing someone who needs to go up close to farm. Nasus, etc. This is because Noxian Diplomacy will put up more damage output against characters that need to get up close in order to receive their farm.

Farming

As said before, you'll probably be grabbing a solo-lane if you're playing this guy, so you'll have a lot of farm available to you. You should use only Rake and no other ability to farm with Talon because his other abilities are for harass or for kills, which lead you to much more gold then minions. Rake however isn't too strong in its lower levels, which is why you should level it up first (if you're laning with a character that farms from far away, ranged chars, abilities, etc). That's why in early-game, you should just whack minions the ol' fashioned way.

Counters

Lots of things are able to counter Talon, which is quite scary, so you got to be careful of ganks from the enemy jungler, especially since you're a relatively squishy champion despite the fact that you get a lot of defensive masteries/runes. Exhaust counters Talon quite well since it takes the majority of his burst down and although he has low cooldowns, I'm sure you don't want to wait forty seconds to get your ultimate back, get a quicksilver sash, and this goes for all kinds of debuffs like Nocturne'sParanoia (note that it only helps with your vision and not your teammates), and even Urgot'sHyper-Kinetic Position Reverser which if it's suppression is gone, you won't switch positions. How cool is Quicksilver Sash? Very! So buy a Quicksilver Sash if needed!

Conclusion

Talon is a great anti-carry character overall and should be able to help you clean up a game early and frustrate your opponents with your insanely low cooldowns and lifesteal endurance.

If all goes well your scores should end up like thisPlease note that the Boots of Swiftness and Leviathan weren't legit in this build.
