Introduction

Good day everyone, well this is my first build introducing how I play Talon. I hope you try it and enjoy, I'm opened for any advices! (Btw, I'm french so I'm sorry if I make mistakes, hope you understand)

** Edit 2011-08-25 : Changed Phantom Dancer for Black Cleaver, I'm actually waiting on the new items to be available in mobafire.
** Edit 2011-08-29 : Changed the runes and items quite a bit, more dmg oriented. Also changed skill order for more effectiveness in higher Elo

Runes

Runes are pretty straight forward.
Marks of Strength for early game, it is usually on par with armpen, yet seems better for Talon considering he's a hit and run champ.
Seal of Vitality for extended survivability.
Glyph of Celerity for the always usefull cooldown reduction.
Quintessence of Strength : Same as the marks.

Masteries

Classic dps mastery, with a point in Utility mastery as you will most likely end up stealing that buff of someone you kill, or simply getting the Blue for yourself.

Skill Sequence

I start with a point in Rake for early harassment, then mainly aim for nuking.
The second point is into Noxian Diplomacy. At level 4 make sure to grab Cutthroat, it will help you rush in for some quick hit-and-run strikes.

The basic idea is to use "Q" + "E" + strike + "W" + "Q" + strike + "R" + strike
The dmg output is amazing, and right after your "E" should be up again to rush in.

Make sure you harass a lot with Rake, its well worth it.

Summoner Spells

I use Flash to make sure I can kill healing heroes.
I use Exhaust mainly as a defencive skill. It allows me to cut down a bursty dps from a 2v1 fight, making sure i can land a kill and escape without getting hit too much. Possibly getting a double kill if luck is on my side :). Many players being exhaust will simply stop attacking and run around... (Might be my Elo tho)

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Hero killer
- Great escape mecanism
- Good area of effect damage
- Its a flippin Ninja!
- Not really affected by wards, barely by oracle. Remember you get intence running speed with your ult.

Cons
- Very dependant on freedom of motion (not being CCed)
- Squishy early game, if you get focused, be ready to use your "R" or "E" to run away, having an enemy mob in range is always a good idea for escapes (Same idea as Katarina, without the possible ally blink..)

Team Work

Be there! You dish out a huge amount of dmg, make sure you kill the nukers first, then AOE vanish for a few seconds, get back and kill someone else. Use creeps to your advantage to run out if needed.

If you are running after someone, use your Q before your E, then W right away to slow them down, this way your allies can reach them.

Items

And now the items...

Early game I start with a Doran Blade for early dmg and survival. Then I get my boots early for easier hit and run. Remember that if you get to 1650 gold before having to back, you should buy a BF Sword, then finish your boots. Afterward you may finish your Infinity Edge, well worth it.

Now you should start heading for Phage for some survivability and the slow (working with your passive).

Midgame, you will need to be able to stay in lane a bit longer, for this a bit of lifesteal is required, get the Vamp Scepter and head for Bloodthirster, then you can finish your Frozen Mallet for even more survivability and dmg output.

Endgame you should already have quite a bit of dmg. Usually I'd go for either Thornmail or Force of Nature, and get another Bloodthirster. Youmuu is also a great choice, I just dont use it often. A Last Whisper could also be good if their tank stacked Defence against you...

Summary

Well, that's the end of my first build!

Thanks for reading, I'm opened for any tips and advices, feel free to comment with constructive criticism!

Creeping / Jungling

Talon is not much of a jungle hero, in my humble opinion. His "w" is great of last hitting and farms pretty well about midgame. Considering you barely need any mana, you should not have any issue using your low cooldown skills to last hit.

Farming

Farming is pretty easy as you can stay in lane for quite a while only last hitting. Only go back as soon as you have the gold to get the main items.

Unique Skills

Talon's main strength comes from the way his abilities works well together, using this build you will optimise all his ability to their maximum level, while allowing you to have low cooldown escape mecanism. This way you wont need that much health to survive, and you'll be able to focus on bursting down your opponents.
