It´s kinda obvious this is a guide for MID lane talon thats why all the MR runes to have a better early game against the ap carrys, Talon is melee and gets easily harassed by the caster.

As u can see im going for MR seals and glyphs why? Like the guide says this is Mid lane Talon and there for i prefer to have xtra MR it gives u such an advantage in midlane against the ap carrys. I prefer AD quints aswell but sum ppl might wanna grab the armor pen quints, but i dont feel like thats to good on Talon cuz the ap carrys tend to have very little armor, and u get a minimum arm pen in masteries and IMO that should do it.

Simple going for the Ad in offense, and grab that xtra MR in defense. and u want the mana/lvl and mov speed in ultility. to be able to snowball out of controll.

I tend to take flash ignite cuz its the most aggressive summoner spells there is.

Exhaust is good to for Talons passive and to counter the ad carry aswell.
but flash ignite is my choice ´for mid Talon.

Pros

Very High burst.
Counter ap carrys very good.

can snowball very easy if getting fed.

easy farmer.

And he´s an assassin what´s not to like.

Cons

Gets fokused fast if the enemys are smart

squishy

gets taken down very easy if the enemys have heavy CC

As u can see the items for talon is very much the same to any other build, simply cuz they r the best items on him. Basicly what u do in early game is to try to harass ur opponent with rakes as much as possible, ofc u might wanna do more dmg on ém so go in for cutthroat (e) Noxian diplomacy (q) and move back and toss Rakes (w) to prevent them from being able to hit u back ( cuz the slow won´t allow em to keep up with ur speed)

The first purchase u wanna do is brutalizer the cd red and armor pen works so great on Talon.
If ur going mid as I prefer to do with Talon u wanna get Merc threads another option is CD red boots. The other core item of mid talon is hexdrinker Upgd later on for a MoM.
The rest is pretty simple Bt, trinty, Ga for better survival ( u might wanna go pure dmg then grab something else) Last Whisp is good BUT u are an assassin so u shouldnt grab this item U are suppose to fokus down there carrys ( but sometimes u might need it of the enemy is ging on allot of armor) Blood Thirster is another perfect item for Talon it gives u life steal plenty of dmg and survivability.

And why i dont see IE as such a great item for Talon is simply cuz he is a BURST dmg chamion not a aotu attacking champion like ranged carrys, therefor I do not see any point in going for xtra crit dmg and crit chance. instead grab another BT or another survivabilty item like Bveil.

Ofc u do wanna max rakes (W) first it gets easier to farm and harass, after Q max E last always last no questions asked about it.

You are an Assassin so you are supposed to go after there carrys ad and ap burst em down fast, adn get out of the fight and w8 for ur cooldowns or if the GA is up u might wanna hang in there and auto attack them untill the cd´s are up. Let the tank or bruiser go in first try to find a good opening to use cutthroat (E) on the ap / ad carry and burst em down with ur ult q rakes u should now the deal by now. Always ALWAYS go after the carrys and support never the tank thats not ur job.
if u do this right and ur team know how to put themselfes in a team fight the teamfight should be in urs.

So imo Talon could go top but i would suggest mid try to get an strong ap carry for top such as Vlad or rumble etc. Talon is a great counter for ap carrys mid and therefor i prefer him there and not top, so this guide explains to u that Talon is great at mid. try it aout and rape ém ap carrys.
