Introduction
Why do I choose that much bonus critical damage runes? Because that makes a huge impact on talon's damage output, and allows him to harvest any squishy relatively early. You can say, that flat armor would be better, but in my opinion, a good talon kills like "Fwoosh, dead, run". So it's better if they won't even have the time to react.
Talon isn't a cheap champion, but from the time you have Infinity Edge, you'll be one of the most effective champion of your team.Start out with a doran's blade. That will do a good impact on your starter damage, and gives you extra survivability.Wait for the gold to accumulate, then buy the cd reduction boots. From now on, you pretty much can spam Rake on minions, and makes you a better farmer. Then go for the infinity edge. Buy the B.F Sword first, then the cloak. When you get the cloak you can begin to use your main killer combo, but careful. When you have the Infinity edge, go for the brutalizer, then the ghost blade. When you're ready, the battles will be pretty much of the climax of the match, maybe soon end. From the time you have the Bloodrazor, you will be the serial killer of your team, and can do huge amouts of damage in a short time. The +damage of the bloodrazor amplifies EACH of your knife from your ult, and when you shot it out well, this will nearly instagib the enemy from full hp. The frozen mallet and the trinity force are really the spice of the item build, and amplify you into a riddiculus killing machine.
Rake is one hell of a harassing skill at start, and ensures your kill at late game.Use the bush often, and suprise your enemy, tell your teammate to jump at them, jump out, rake then exhaust on the most unfortunate one. Congratulations for your first blood! At lvl 2, put one point to cutthroat, then on lvl 3, start to max out noxian diplomace. This is when the fun really starts. The drill: Use noxian diplomacy, cutthroat, autoattack then rake. If you want to be really sadistic, you can use exhaust to ensure the kill, but this will usually wipeout your victim from the face of the planet...When you have your ult, the enemy will be more durable maybe, but fear not. You can add your ult at the end of your combo, run to the face of your fleeing enemy(usually they do that when they see you coming..)run before him and shot it out. Boom, headshot. As you progress with your item build, your cutthroat and your noxian diplomacy will add up, amplifying your crit damage like hell. This is the main reason why i build talon to pure crit. With your basic combo, you can obliterate anything and anyone in your way, and you can chase them with your basic attack, killing them easily. The Bleeding damage from noxian diplomacy is another spice to the rum, often ensures your kill when your enemy gets away.
Personally, I love to pick exhaust and ignite. Why? Exhaust dosen't need explaining, just ensures you the kill. Ignite? Along with your bleed from the Noxian Diplomacy, does way more damage, and you can kill an enemy with much more hp than the one you usually need for an ignite kill. Of course, you can pick flash, or others. The one you need to stay away from is clarity. Talon has a wery good mana pool, you won't even need to go back if you're doing good.
