Hello people of Mobafire this is my very first guide ever. Talon is a bursty assassin champion that is built to single out squishy AP champions, jump in, silence, and kill said champion. Talon can be tricky to master without experience but following my guide should help.

Excellent burst capabilities
Can destroy squishy ap champions with ease
Short cooldown on ultimate

Cons
Has a hard time taking well made tanks down
Will crumble quickly if focused down
Mana problems

Mercy Passive : Mercy
+10% damage on targets that are under CC

This passive is pretty nice for extra damage for chasing. not much to be said about it

Q ability : Noxian diplomacy
Melee Nuke that applies a decent bleed. Resets attack timer.
This is where most of talon's burst comes from. after using talon's E the damage output is incredible.

W ability : Rake
AoE damage and slow. Fires in a cone.
This ability can be used to farm and harass enemy champions and minions. The farming capability isn't good enough early game to be stable as the damage is low but it can still be used to harass.

Cutthroat E ability : Cutthroat
Blink behind the target champion/minion and silences it. All damage after the blink is increased.Resets attack timer.
This is your initiating ability. Use your Q then use this to maximize the damage. This ability is why talon smashes AP champions.

Ult ability : Shadow assault
Become Invisible for a short time and gain a movement speed increase, while invisible a ring of blades sprout from your location. If you attack or run out of time the blades will converge on your location. Every time these blades pass through an enemy they get damaged significantly.
This is talon's most flexible ability. This can be used to escape, do major damage to multiple enemies, catch up to an enemy, or simply finish one off. Positioning is important if you mean to use this ability offensively.

Solo Top / Great - This is where talon is best.

Solo Mid / Good - Talon can be decent in mid against ap champions but others such as caitlyn or teemo can easily counter him.

Duo Bot / Decent - Duo Bot is not the place for talon.

Duo Top / Good - Talon is better soloing top but if you must duo then Talon can still do quit well.

I have chosen the best masteries that Talon can use. Obviously the Offense masteries are necessary because talon is an offensive champion. The masteries make Talon able to be quit effective at combat against champions as well as minions and turrets. The 3 points in Hardiness make Talon more durable especially during early game. As i have stated before Talon has mana problems, which is why your last 3 points should go into expanded mind.

Talon is quite weak early game. His poke isn't effective for farming yet but it can still be used to harass quite potently. For laning you want to position yourself to where you will not only hit the entire minion wave but you will be harassing 1 or if possible 2 enemies with Rake. Continue widdling down the enemy until you are ready for the killing blow. The combo to use against your enemy will be Q E W R. Always use E to initiate your target.

Mid Game is when talon is at his very best. There isn't much to be said about this point in the game except to do the same thing you did early game. If you have lost a turret i would suggest sticking to your lane and defending. But if you have killed the enemy turret in your lane you can start ganking. When ganking make sure to single out the squishy ap builds and kill them.

Late Game or the team fight phase as I call it, is the hardest stage for Talon. Talon isn't as effective at team battles and unless you build correctly to counter the enemy team you will become food. Ganking will become difficult as the enemy team will be sticking together as should you. during team fights never, I repeat NEVER initiate. your job in team fights will be to silence the heavy damaging ap and targeting only them. Use your ult to escape if you need to. If need be sell your dorans blade and build into a defensive item to counter the enemy teams abilities. If your having problems being CCed build mercury treads. If they go heavy AP build a Quicksilver sash. If they go heavy AD build a Thornmail.

That is the end of the guide. Talon is a great champion but dont expect him to be a cakewalk.
