Read this before anything (Intro)

This build is to keep your lane partner alive while keeping lane presence. If you are looking to murder everything than this is the wrong champion guide is not what you are looking for. Supporting Tank is what this is and nothing else. And I combined a few subsections so people don't have to scroll forever to get somewhere.

Runes and Items

These runes are for durability for lane presence and having mana as taric is a very mana hungry champion early game. Depending on your own play style you can use flat armor and magic resistance runes or pre-lvl runes. The flat runes are good to help out early game as pre-lvl help sometime after lvl 9 or so. Mostly just player preference. Items are there to help allies...simple enough.

Masteries and Summoner Spells

The masteries set up is all defense as this guide isn't built to kill but to stay in the fray for as long as you can helping out allies with all your auras you will be radiating. Not to mention the cooldown reduction will help you be able to cast your heal more often and the +24 gold from kills and assist helps any support role not fall behind. The summoner spells are there to mainly help your allies. Exhaust to help take down a fleeing enemy and heal for team fights or if you can't cast your heal on someone that needs it quite yet.
