Introduction
For runes I got ArPen marks, AS glyphs, armor seals, and ArPen quints. I got with the ArPen because she is a melee champion and she needs them to clear the jungle relatively successfully. The glyphs are also for helping the run through the jungle, while the armor seals are to help her with her early game squishyness.
For masteries I go 21/0/9 for solotop and 14/3/13 for jungle. The reason i use this mastery setup for jungle is to get as much damage as possible without sacrificing the extra time for buffs, while also throwing in a bit more armor to help her sustain. For the solotop masteries i just chose a standard mastery setup.
The reason i chose this skill sequence is because it gives Shyvana the fastest way to farm creeps, while giving her sustained dps and a small nuke when she needs it. An interesting thing to note about her twin fang, it resets her auto attack, meaning that after she attacks normally, she can cast the spell and it will be cast instantly, causing her to deal more damage quicker. This is a VITAL part in increasing her damage output, and it also helps her clear through the jungle that much quicker.
The items that I end up with help give her a lot of tankiness, with a massive damage output. An item that you should ALWAYS get when playing Shyvana, is Frozen Mallet. Because she doesnt have any cc of her own, this single item gives her the ability to slow whoever she hits. With this item, she can slow an entire team if she is positioned correctly, because twin bite applies ALL on hit affects. After you get your Atma's finished, sell your wriggles and buy a black cleaver.
My route for jungling starts at the enemies wraiths, smiting the blue wraith first and then taking out the smaller wraiths, activating your W whenever you can. After that you head on over to your wolves, and take care of them. By now you should be level 2, and you should grab a point in your twin bite. Go to your wraiths, activate your w, and as soon as your first auto attack lands on the blue wraith, use twin bite. You do this because as i said before, twin bite resets your auto attack timer. The ability to use this skill after an auto attack can GREATLY increase your damage output, much like trundle's rabid bite. After you clear your wraiths, head on over to your golems and take them out, same as the wraiths. go back to base and pick up your short sword, and head on over to blue golem. Take it with smite, then kill the wolves that just respawned. YOu should be level 4 now and have 2 points in w, 1 point in q, and 1 point in e. Head over to red, and kill it. then to your wraiths and then golems, then back to base. You MIGHT have enough gold to get a wriggles and a boots, but if not then just get the wriggles, as it gives you the most benefit. By now you should be level 6 and starting to gank. Your ult is a great initiater, but if you have some cc in the lane that you are ganking, then wait with it to chase, and you should have first blood under your belt.
