Incorporating The Build Into The Strategy

Passive Gameplay

This build will allow you to gain minion feed by Auto-Attacking. But you want to do it in a passive way, Teemo is a character that requires passive behavior until the right moment. So keep playing passively til about level 6, this let's the player think they have an edge on you and they will underestimate what you can actually do. Once you reach level 6 push the minions to the enemy tower and lay your mushrooms down the river, follow the angle of the river and try to keep the mushrooms centered. DO NOT GANK UNTIL LEVEL 6. Once you reach about level 11, you should have the entire river lined with Mushrooms, if you have more, ward the enemy teams Jungle. If you're team is not doing so hot, put mushrooms into the major gank points(entrances to the Jungle). Once you reach level 11, team fights should start occurring, when trying to take down melees characters poke at them until they are low and you still have a sufficient amount of health (hp above 650), once the melee character has approximately one third Health, Auto-attack him and ignite him(If usable). When dealing with a range character, send your tank in first and then cut the enemy off from behind and drop a mushroom where you are standing if you can. NEVER TRY TO SOLO TANK UNTIL YOU HAVE OBTAINED MADRED'S BLOODRAZERS,ESPECIALLY RAMMUS. Once Team fights begin you still want to poke people to avoid taking damage, it doesn't mean you didn't do anything, it means you avoided feeding.

Characters to Never Underestimate with Teemo

-Swain

-Xin Zhao

-Another Teemo

-Master Yi

-Vayne

-Katarina

-Oriana
This May look like a long list a characters, but that doesn't mean they're impossible to beat. You just need to play passively and outfarm them. Remember:Kills are not NEARLY as IMPORTANT as Minion kills, never underestimate someone who is fed by minions.

NOTE: When dealing with a DPS character, you should use your "q" ability on them if they are to pushy, this prevents them from attacking you or the minions, so you can get life and farm from auto-attacking.

Choosing Your Lane

One large concern with builds are "Will it work while sharing a lane or is this only good for soloing". While this build was designed around laning mid, I have tested the build in a lane with another DPS, which was Master Yi, and I outfarmed him by MILES. Therefor this build is not a lane dependent build and it is very versatile.

Why Mana Regen Runes?

Mana Gen Runes may seem confusing at first, I understand that. Some may say it's noob or noneffective, but what makes Mana Regen Runes so useful, is how versatile they are with Characters. Most characters require mana to operate on the field subtracting the select few such as Tryndamere, Garen, Dr. Mundo , Mordekaiser, etc. They also keep you in lane which for Teemo is very useful, because he needs to start in lane as long as he possibly can. Even though Teemo doesn't not have many spammable abilities, his Ultimate ability takes A LOT of mana. Therefor, in my case, Mana Regen Runes are the ideal Runes to play with.

Why Nashor's Tooth and Not Sword Of The Divine?

Most people tend to criticize the choice I have made for an attack-speed booster. This is mainly because people fail to see that DPS is not what makes Teemo powerful, although it does help. What makes Teemo powerful is having the advantage of Hybrid building. Teemos power is derived from his "E" passive, which allows him to basically ignite them (subtracting the healing reduction) for 4 seconds. The catch is that it scales off of AP. This is what makes him a well scaled hybrid, because you need to stack the three powers of the game:Ability Power, Attack Damage, and Attack Speed. This makes the ability unbeatable and can really hurt a tank. The Nashor's tooth gives him a large sum of Ability Power, plus, a nifty cool down reduction which works well for recharging his mushrooms. This way you can place more mushrooms, a lot quicker.

Passive Abilities

This will be a very short section on the behalf of the fact that their is only so much information given about a passive.

Starting Passive: This allows Teemo to become stealthed after two seconds of inactivity. You become unstealthed by moving, but gain a slight attack speed increase for another three seconds.

"W" Key Passive: Gives additional Movement Speed to Teemo (The amount of additional movement speed varies upon the level of the ability). On active, the ability grants teemo an even larger movement speed increase, which is good when merged with ghost for the speed you need to chase someone down.

"E" key Passive: Upon hitting an enemy, Teemo deals Magic Damage on impact and "Poison Damage" (Damage Over Time). This passive scales off of Ability Power.

Skill Sequence

We start out with his "E" passive, because it allows for better farming in the beginning of the game. Then you grab his "W" passive for the movement speed, that way if there is a team planning on ganking a lane early game, you can usually dash away if necessary. Then you grab your "q" Ability this is to prevent a DPS character from last hitting minions and to keep them from attacking you. The reason you want to max out his "E" passive first and not his "q" ability is because of the massive damage output he gains towards auto-attacking. Next you want to move onto the "W" passive and just like the previous mastering not his "q" ability, this helps teemo chase, which is necessary to auto-attack. Lastly, you want to max out his q, it's not really a skill that is necessary early game, only later is it useful. Just like any other Hero, whenever the opportunity arrives to put points into your ultimate ability, do it.
