About the author
I'm Rainfall, also known as Adeorisk / Ade in-game. I'm an active member of the MOBAFIRE community, hence why I'm writing a guide here. I've been playing since mid-Season 1, and I've mained every role there is, but that doesn't really mean anything. I'm currently a Platinum mid lane main, specializing in Lux, Syndra and other long ranged mages.


About Syndra
Syndra is an AP mid laner, with high burst, strong poke, good utility and low mobility. She excels at pressuring her opponent during laning phase, due to her low cooldown and mana cost poke. Late game, she's useful due to the fact she can whittle opponents down in poke wars, clear waves instantly to prevent sieges, but most importantly, she can instantly destroy any squishy target with miniscule effort.

Each of Syndra's abilities gain an additional effect at max rank :: To be honest, you don't really notice this, but it's actually very helpful, especially the part where it gives increased range on your ultimate. It allows you to obliterate carries without putting yourself in too much danger.

A sphere is created at the location, dealing damage to nearby targets :: Your bread and butter skill - your other abilities rely on this. It is your wave clear, harass and main damage, but also it works with your W as ammunition, or with your E to stun targets, or even with your ult to deal more damage.

Picks up a unit (enemy / neutral monster or dark sphere) and throws it :: A very versatile skill - you can use it for wave-clearing in combination with your Q, or to harass your opponent. It's also great for kiting, as it applies a slow, and doesn't interrupt your movement. Also, you can use it to take buffs by them up before they can get the last hit.

Pushes back enemies / spheres in a cone. Enemies hit by spheres are stunned. :: The reason why Syndra is considered 'high skill'. Whilst this knocks targets back, that's generally not its main use; it is mainly used for the stun. The benefit to this skill is that it allows for long ranged stuns.

Syndra focuses all of her spheres on one target, bombarding them :: I guess you could say this is Syndra's signature move. You can deal large amounts of damage to a single target, and the amount of damage scales on how many spheres you have out. It also applies Manamura, which allows for 'gimmicks.'
