Hey guys, BL0OD XD here, with my first unorthodox build: Bruiser Blitzcrank. Normally, we all know and love/hate (depending upon which side you're on) Blitzcrank support. This build will show you how to make your enemies' game a living nightmare!

The reason I went with these runes is simple: Blitzcrank with armor pen hurts. The attack damage runes are for last-hitting, and making sure he can trade well with other champs. The armor seals and mr/level glyphs are standard runes for facing a generic team comp.

I go with offensive masteries simply because with Blitzcrank, you want an early advantage, and his abilities give him that option to dominate most top-lane champs, with little risk of endangering himself. I treat him like a typical bruiser, with a different build.

The reason I go with Merc Treads is against a team with decent cc. If you're facing a team with more ad than ap/cc, then ninja tabi would be a better buy. Since Blitzcrank's passive gives him a shield when he's low (based on his max mana), a manamune and a frozen heart are excellent buys, because then he gets not only a ton of mana, but also a nice ad boost from manamune, and armor/slow/cooldown reduction from frozen heart. The trinity force is an optional buy, but I prefer it over frozen mallet, for the attack speed, and ability power bonuses. Warmog's is icing on the cake, making Blitzcrank not only insanely strong, but really tough to kill. Bloodthirster would be the 5th item to buy, as Warmog's can be replaced for guardian angel, if need be. Bloodthirster is almost a necessity on any attack damage champions that want a ton of ad and life steal.

I like to even out his skills, as they are all very valuable when levelled up. Blitz is better when he has his w maxed, because he then attacks faster and moves faster. I want to max Blitz's power fist next, as the low cooldowns help his damage go through the roof, since it doubles his next attack's damage. His ult is awesome, as it does a decent amount of damage, as well as a silence aoe, which can be huge in teamfights. Although not much is added to his ult and grab, the trinity force helps his magic damage output on his abilities, especially when you're using them often to max the bonus mana on your manamune.

Very standard top-lane summoner spells for a champ. It helps you do damage to kill a retreating enemy, and gives you the ability to dodge any close range attacks that may lose you a trade.

Blitzcrank is challenging until later to farm with, since his passive on his ult does random damage to a unit near him. When his ult hits a minion at random, it can help him if the minions are low, but it can also hurt him if the minions are pushing in your favor.

Blitzcrank's abilities make him a very unique champ. His passive is a shield when low, he has a pullback through walls, a knock up, a movement/attack speed buff, and an aoe magic damage and silence. He is a very useful champion in teamfights, as a successful grab can put a teamfight in your favor.

Pros:

-Abilities are crucial in teamfights
-Very mobile
-Good Tankiness
-Decent roaming abilities

Cons:

-Hard to farm with early (ult can ruin your farming rhythm)
-Not the best damage output late-game
-A missed hook/ grabbing the wrong guy can prove fatal
-Item build is pricy

Unless you've mastered Blitz, and know his abilities really well, and are confident in playing him, I don't reccomend him in low to mid-level elo, because he doesn't quite stack up against strong top lane bruisers, like olaf, riven, and darius. If you're well practiced with him, you can kite the enemy and bait them very easily, and he does a lot of burst damage.

Blitzcrank was the first champion I ever played, and the first I ever mastered. If you want a new way to play a really fun champion, I reccomend this build! Hope you enjoy!
