Runes

I have these runes set up to maximize damage early/mid game. Since I typically run shyvana solo top or jungle, the high armor pen and attack damage ensure that I'm striking enemies for as much damage as possible; hitting them for close to, if not true damage.

Items

The boots are really situational for me. It all depends on whether the team is ap heavy or ad heavy, but I typically choose ninja tabi. I rush Madreds Bloodrazor on this build because I feel the precursor items are scale greatly with early and mid game. Madreds razors give minor tankiness and attack damage, just enough for early game combat while the other items ensure that you will keep up with if not surpass your opponents in lane. Madreds bloodrazor itself is rushed because it has great synergy with Shyvana's twin strike. Frozen mallet is next due to it's increase in health and slowing ability. Wit's end is included for its synergy with Shyvana's twin strike and its increase in magic resist. For the most part that is the core build other items are situational. If more damage is needed build infinity edge. If tankiness is needed build warmog + atmos (after selling dorans).
