Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Corki is one of the strongest champions currently used in competitive play due to his long range spells and massive damage from his passive. He has a very aggressive and poking play style. Both his damage comes from magical and physical making his carry insane.
Offense: 2/3 deadliness
Defense: 3/3 resistance - 1/3 hardiness - 3/3 strength of spirit
Utility: 3/3 perseverance - 1/1 haste - 4/4 awareness - 3/3 meditation - 2/2 utility mastery - 3/3 quickness - 1/1 blink of an eye - 3/3 intelligence - 1/1 presence of the master
I prefer this mastery build because 21 into utility gives me shorter cooldowns on my summoners, therefore I can use my summoners more often to pull off ganks. The Utility Tree gives me enough mana regeneration to spam my abilities to farm and harass my opponents. Strength of Spirit is crucial because with my mana build, Corki goes up to 40/5 HP regeneration in the late stages of the game. At that point, I can harass my opponents and poke at towers- while having a higher health regeneration.
I use quintessence of Fortitude because it helps with my lane dominance. Seals and Glyphs are essential for my playstyle because attack speed really helps my early game laning as well. I play very aggressive. If you want to be as good as me, play aggressive.
You're usually going to solo middle lane as corki, always try to farm wraiths and jungle creeps. You usually start jungling at the start of level 6. Maximizing your farm is very important on any carry champion. In Corki's case, he has the perfect tools to farming fast and efficiently. With a Phosphorus bomb and a Missile, you're able to clear wratihs with two spells. A great tactic before going back to base is to nuke down the remaining wave in lane, valkyrie over to wraiths and combo a phosphorus bomb and a missile. Every creep counts, this will all add up to your carrying power late game! Farm it all, take it all! Take everything!
Corki has two phases of team fighting; poking and auto attacking. As a high tier corki player, you must learn to differentiate the situations. From my experience, you usually start with long range Missiles to weaken the opponents before entering with your right click attacks. In very little situations will you ever valkyrie towards enemies in a team fight. Only Valkyrie to chase low HP enemies, otherwise save the Valykrie as an escape. Using Valkyrie defensively in team fights is better 99% of the time. In my opinion, you should always spam your missiles at the beginning and aim to hit multiple targets with AoE, make sure to use phosphorus bomb aswell. Make sure not to over extend and be initiated on. Playing the carry role, you should never get caught. In most cases, you should focus the closest target and if 5 players run towards you and attempt for an initiation, simply kite until an opportunity presents to focus the closest target without being put in danger. When against champions like warwick, taric, or sion- be careful when harassing. If the opponent attempts to stun you, valkyrie away as the particle travels towards you. Being stunned far back behind your teammates is much better than being stunned on front. Remember, it is possible to valkyrie and negate warwick ultimate with good timing.
