Introduction/ultimate and gameplay for team fights.

My name in game is Juggernawk, if you want a quick laugh look my name up in the urban dictionary. It came from a friend while playing counterstrike and i have never stopped using it. So a brief description of my game style would be 'aggressive" and if you are not that type of player then i don't think this guide or champion is right for you. Kat is fun champion but she can be crushed easily with a simple cc so it's is very important to choose when and when not to use her ultimate. Firstly just because your Lotus Ulti can crush a team fight doesn't mean you are going to run in there and start 'spinning" you will die and leave your team thinking WTF Kat. So with that said, wait let your bouncing blades do the work for you. Let your team soak up some of the cc and abilities then Shunpo to "Low" enemy and start your channeling your ultimate. Remember your Shunpo is up as soon as you get a kill and your cool downs have 15 seconds taken off. So you can use it to escape or get more kills. Also your Bouncing Blades will be up so get that off before you escape or Shunpo to an enemy, you might get some multi kills with that or more assists. If so most likely your Ulti will be up again keep that in mind as the enemy is running for there lives.

Runes

My rune choices are for survival and damage. Greater Glyph of focus x9 choice because along with you mastery points you will have Approx 15% cool down right of the start allowing you to harrass/farm/kill and escape more often than not. Next is Greater Seal of Vitality x9 because at level 6 you will have just as much life as having Greater Seal of Fortitude x9. But by level 18 you will have Approx. 180 health. The point is to use your tele if you get low hp early game and grab pots of health. Just play it safe and farm with Bouncing Blades. Now Greater Mark of insight x9 and Greater Quintessence of insight x3 is for increased damage through all levels but especially level 6 and that first gank with your Ultimate. Because you should have you Sorcerer's boots giving 34 magic pen. This makes you do almost true damage to all but tanky characters. Giving you you a greater likely hood of getting those first few ganks.

Items

I go with Dorans Blade first because of life and because i have tele to go back and get boots/health pots after level 3 or if i get messed up. The 100 life is awsome / 10 damage for my bouncing blades fight of the start. Now you are wondering why i choose ad build? Well if you didn't know ad or ap for Kat are both going to be magic damage when calculated for your abilities. And since your abilities will take the highest damage from either your ad or your ap and not both stacked. I decided that two BF swords for 3300 gold is the cheapest and most damaging combo early game. Also it has the potential to have 80 more damage when upgraded to Bloodthirster x2. The Hexgunblade is a must for all kat players ap, ad, or hybrid because of the spell vamp 25%/ damage 60 / ap 75 not to mention 20% lifesteal. That 75 ap from the Hex will be helping your Shunpo since ad does not convert with it. Now i choose either the Void Staff or Abyssal Scepter depending on the game and need for pen versus my own need for magic resist. Now Rylai's Crystal Scepter is Amazing because of the life 500hp and the 35% slow it gives you with all you abilities, also the 80 ap will help you Shunpo significantly. Finally i choose Sorcerer's boots over Mercery Tread's because Kat gets focused and we all know that if you get cc and your in a team fight at least 3 most likely 5 champions just hit you with there ablilities and your dead. So i want to have the magic pen for early ganks and quick kills so i can get in and get out. Also i hate having a tank be totally unaffected by my ult and then chase me down and kill me when i could have killed him, IE Singed and Ammumu.

Masterys

The Offense tree is simple all the mastery points are for increasing damage and lowering cool down, enough said. The Utility tree is a little more complicated, the points in Greed and Perseverence are pointless to me but you will need them to get to Presence of the Master.
Now Spatial Mastery and Blink of an Eye are for Flash and Tele. I use them for ganking saving myself and helping to push / save towers and it works for me. As for the rest they are for shorter cool downs quicker exp coming back from death and neutral monster buffs. I jungle and when i get a buff from another player or from the jungle i like it to last. Especially the cool down reduction from Blue also Red buff is great for Kat.
