Introduction

Hi! My name is D0C1L3, I've been playing LoL for 4 months now and mobafire has helped me out of that noob stage. I want to return the favor to mobafire by writing a guide on Jax because he was one of my first champs, and the remake has made him extremely OP. I play him as an AD carry instead of the normal hybrid because he benefits more from ad than ap.

Runes

I go for Armor Penetration Marks because most of his damage does physical damage, and I usually target the carry in team fights because I have leap strike.
I go for armor seals because he needs the early game armor to counter the other player's armor penetration.
Magic resist per level is because ap carries need levels for their skills to do damage, but flat magic resist glyphs is also viable.
I haven't listed quintessences because I don't really think it matters on Jax, but maybe the health quint is reccomended.

Items

You can start with boots of speed, OR doran's shield OR cloth armor OR mercury threads, i usually go boots to counter the other boots.
I tend to create a wriggle's lantern because he needs the lifesteal, armor, and ward.
Sheen stacks with empower so it does huge damage, and the Phage is to add to his tankiness. We build it into trinity force because it's great for jax.
You can either build bloodthirster or hextech gunblade, i don't really care since i mainly use them for the healing.
Jax isn't as tanky anymore, so you have to buy defensive items like GA or Warmogs =/.

Summoner Spells

Exhaust- to cripple the enemy even more, you should generally use this on the enemy's ad or ap carry and smash them with Jax. Also a great CC.
Flash- to escape out of sticky situations, positions, walls, etc.
Other Spells That Are Viable
Teleport-to return to lane quickly if you needed to purchase something or to heal.
Heal- Good bait, can change an outcome of a 1v1.
Ignite- If you want, but I like exhaust more.
Ghost- Chase and Run, I choose flash because usually if you get ganked, when you are caught you are dead.

Skill Sequence

1 point in Leap strike for the early damage. I max W because it actually brings the most damage over his other abilities. You can reset his autoattack with W, use that trick to maximize your damage output.
1 point in E because it's mainly used as a survival tool instead of offensive; it's a utility skill.
You get your Ult at 6,11,and 16 because it's like your steroids, and everyone needs steroids in this game. Use it when a teamfight is erupting or after you proc your dodge to make them melt.
