Not Updated For Current Season
Hi welcome to my first post on this site i hope you find it helpful and effective.
some may look at this build and be sceptical but trust me olaf dishes out more damage than a truck full of sniper rifles and literally cannot die
I chose ghost and exhaust, becuase ghost can be extremely handy when people try to gank you its as simple as pop ulti and ghost and get out of there, run away destroy another day. Exhaust comes in hand when it comes to 1 on 1 or 2 on1 especially against high damage dealers if you have your ult ready and someone jumps you, you hit them with element of surprise dps them till you are at half health then pop exhaust and your ult theres no escapes unless master yi gets lucky tbh.
i picked this rune setup because i felt it was the best way for olaf to be able to go through the game boosting his hp and damage through his (w) ability also it gives him an early advantage in terms of hp
Look at the items I have put up for selection, you may wonder about a few things such as why atmas is so late in the list, well the reason being that by the time you are level 18 in any 1 on 1 or 2 on1 situation there should be no one able to take u down before u take them down u will be dishing out 340 true damage through your (e) ability alone not to mention the additional damage and healing u will be receiving from your (w) ability olaf does insane ammounts of damage and to make it better they wont be able to escape due to your frozen mallet.
P.s Dont be afraid to change the order of items around to suit the way the game is panning out, for instance if you have 2 or more kills after you get your boots then you can get an early warmorgs followed by atmas impaler/frozen mallet the only thing i will say is do not get atmas impaler before you get at least 2 health boosting items as it you will probably succumb to dying so its more about surviving the early game so you can destroy late game.
Also if you feel you need more damage then switch out the starks fervor/atmas impaler for a last whisper
in my skill sequence you see i leave undertow till around level 4-5 this is tottally variable depending on your opponent if you feel you wont be able to get within range of them before team fights level undertow after level 2 and make sure u always push (w) before your (q)!!!!
Early game you will want as many minion kills as possible with the least ammount of pressure so i suggest you pressure the opponents into falling back so that they cant get last hits and gold level 7 onwards you can go into the jungle make sure you get those blue buffs even if you have to wonder on to enemy territory remember you can escape anything!!!!
To put it simply dont be afraid to pressure people you have much more survivability than most champs in the game, plus you have the ability to dish out some of the most damage also. Early game make sure you back up your partner, if you see a chance arrive for a gank throw your axe, let them be brave u will be the one with the kills.
Always remember in team fights to pick off the high damage dealers u will out last them in the war and your team will most probably follow your lead, also dont forget to go for ganks now and again in the mid section (casters cant get on board the olaf lokomotiv and live to tell the tale!!!!!!!!!)
