Stark's Fervor (not the best item to get with Soraka though..) and Will of the Ancients
You kinda are the target for most enemy attacks whenever they get the chance to attack you :/
Nonetheless, if their whole team ganks you, no amount of survival is gonna help you. lol
Chalice is an item I like to keep on me so I can keep Infuse to either giving my lane partner mana or harassing opponents with Silence. For 975G I can make sure I never run out of mana, and I can make sure my teammates don't either.
AP is really good with Soraka, but essentially this is an Aura Build. There already is a fnacy good AP Soraka build on here, but I haven't seen anyone spam Auras with a Character that, when played right, never dies. It's really effective and can be a game changer, since when you have every Aura on the build, you're giving your teammates:
All while giving yourself Massive amounts of HP and MP to survive on. I'm not saying AP is bad for Soraka, I'm just saying it doesn't fit with the build. :)
First of all, why clarity? To me it seems like a useless spell on soraka. You already have something that can give allies mana. You also have tons of mana regen on your own, if you count infuse as regen.
This makes me question chalice as a first item too. If you are going to work on your allies mana, just get manipulator as you'll eventually turn that into locket.
Finally, why not more AP? I think Archangel's/Tear would be a good replacement for chalice, as you can spam your spells so easily. Also, with AP you increase your healing power by tons. (Soulstealer is a fun item, you stack up assists rapidly with wish)
Also, why not cooldown for your glyphs?
