The way i play Volibear is realy simple. Coz of his: Chosen of the Storm (passive) and his First skill: Rolling Thunder. With this VoliBear can heal a lil(passive) for the last hit or he can escape the enemy with first skill.

The way to go with Volibear it Dps Style...

I use Armor Penetration Mark runes, to burn the enemy's small amount of armor, at the beginning we don't too much armor except theres runes setup or the first armor items they can get with the 475G.

Before, i used Attack speed Seals, but i change it for Armor for more durability early game.

I changed the CDR for MR per LVL, coz you dont need to much MR early game it will me more effectiv Late game.

For Quintessence i use more Armor Penetration, this is for more assurance!

With more Attack speed in stead of cooldown reduction for glyphs, you are faster but for me it not working.

I start with:


Cloth Armor --> +18 Armor

With it you are a bit harder to kill if you don't have runes or didn't use my masteries style.


Health Potion --> Click to Consume: Restores 150 Health over 15 seconds. x5

I get to level 6 then i return to the base and then i buy:


Madred's Razors --> +15 Attack Damage +23 Armor UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks against minions and monsters have a 20% chance to deal 300 bonus magic damage.

Because of the +15 attack damage Volibear second skill hit allot harder and with +23 armor hi get more vitality and standing in lane and you burn minions faster, fast farming = more gold.


Boots of Speed --> UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 1 (does not stack with other Boots).

For better mobility, when you run after enemys or for escaping them.


Berserker's Greaves --> +25% Attack Speed UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 2 (does not stack with other Boots).

I use this when the opposite team have less than 2 Ability Power players.


Mercury's Treads --> +25 Magic Resist UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 2 (does not stack with other Boots) UNIQUE Passive.

This is when the opposite team have more than 2 Ability Power players.

Then i get:

Long Sword --> +10 Attack Damage.

I rush to get:


Then i go for more HP with the Warmog's Armor but you start by getting this first:

For a good setup you need a Atma's Impaler, coz that item fit so well with your warmog's armor:


After this you have grate damage, you finish Youmuu's Ghostblade:


Now you have 2 chois, you sell Wriggle's Lantern to get more armor or magic resist or you just get 1 last item... This is what i normaly use.
you have:
for more tank build.

for more MF.

for more HP and MF.

for more armor and...

nice hp and nice slow.

a bit of MF, armor and the Revives your champion upon death.

That it all i can say for now so try it and i hope you like it.

I changed the Attack speed Seals for flat armor and CDR for MR per LVL glyphs.

Try this 2 changes and let me know if you all like it.
