My introduction

Hey there guys. Ive been playing Maokai for the past month. I have been reading the top 10 Maokai builds for a while and some of them dont quite cut it.

So i have decided to come up with a Maokai build myself, copying elements from other guides.

Runes

The runes I have selected came from a set of other guides which have all been combined.

The runes are as followed:

Marks
• Magic Penetration (G. Mark of Insight x9)

Seals
• Magic Resist (G. Seal of Shielding x9)

Glyphs
• Ability Power (G. Glyph of Force x9)

Quintessence's
• Movement Speed (G. Quintessence of Swiftness)
• Ability Power (G. Quintessence of Potency)

The reason being for using these runes is merely simple.
• The Marks assist in allowing Maokai's abilities, especially his sapling to inflict the same / more damage to higher magic resist champions.
• The Seals allow for Maokai to have a higher magic resist. However this choice might change depending.
• The Glyphs allow for Maokai to have a decent amount of AP at the start of the game and have alot of AP near mid-end game.
• The Quintessences both runes allow Maokai to have a faster movement speed to get into and out of team fights and to assist in catching those unfriendlier foe's. And of course a nice AP boost for early game harrassment.
