Introduction

before i start, i just want to say this is my first build

i use this build for master yi myself, and get a pretty high sucess rate. obviously you wont be able to follow this build exactly every game. i will explain what items and runes masteries spells you can use altenativley.

Pros / Cons

-great chase (alpha+highlander) -depends on autoattacks - vulnerable to blinds
-great escape (highlander) -easy to counter (thornmail)
-farms really well
-pushes towers very quickly
-massive lifesteal
-infinite cooldowns!
-high movespeed

Abilities

double strike

this wins you early game. an awsome ad passive, however, dont be saving double strike for when you attack. you will LOSE gold that way. think about it, whats more important, doing 150 more damage to champions when they get in range(which takes a while) or farming a bunch of creeps, getting gold and exp. however this doesnt mean you dont use it against enemy champions. try and get your stacks at around 5 or 6, so when you start attacking, the stacks will build up and you get your double strike. late game it's not as important cause youll get through 7 attacks in like 2 seconds.

alpha strike

this is a great spell, but more for catching up to enemies. yes i know its great for farming minions, but i believe wuju is much more important to level up. i like to level it up 3rd, after ulti (obviously) and wuju. leveling it up reduces it's cooldown, so thats another reason to level it up.

meditate

i find this kinda usless unless your building ap, which i am not. early game its useful to spam level if your getting pushed hard, it helps you stay in lane for longer periods of time. it bis also useful if anyone towerdives you, they will find they do barely any damage between armour/mr and the heal. however be careful of disables, because they will cancel your meditate channel. you can also use it against ez, lux, and karth's ulti, though with lux its kinda hard to activate in time. its not good in teamfights, as it lets the enemy team catch up to you. late game its kinda similar to early, win team fight, meditate, the push turrets. i get a point in it early for laning(pushing towers after youve killed both enemies) but level it last.

wuju style

this skill is boss. at lvl1 it gaves passive 15 and active 30, at 5 the bonuses are 35 and 70. you can use this and highlander while in alpha, so do so. also, when your cooldowns are refreshed by highlender, the passive and active stack giving 105 extra damage at lvl 5

highlander

now this is an op ulti. it makes master yi master yi. it basiclly solves all your problems except for disables. catch up to enemies, do damage faster, run away, tower dive, even backdoor with this. as a bonus ALL YOUR COOLDOWNS ARE REFRESHED IF YOU KILL SOMEONE. is that op or what. yi and rammus are the only people who can chase singed- AND SURVIVE. you alpha ulti, kill singed, run away, meditate, repeat with squishies who come to help singed.
