Pros / Cons

Pros:
Insane early game damage
Great Carry
Turtle stance for staying in Lane longer
Spam able Stun
Great 1v1'er
Looks Sexy as hell

Cons:
Focused alot
CC's will destroy you.
More difficult than most champs to get the hang of.

Runes

I went with attack speed runes for Udyr because of the early game benefits you get from it with Tiger stance.Also the Armour Pen is a must for Udyr

Masteries

21/0/9 the standard AD masteries for Udyr.

Skill Sequence

This is the skill sequence i use for Udyr, This can be changed greatly depending on the circumstances of your lane. For instance if your getting pushed back in your lane grab Turtle stance over Bear at lvl 2.

Also with your skills try to swtich as much as possible in team fights or 1v1's even to keep up your passive. Your passive stacks 3 times and increases attack speed with each stack.

Summoner Spells

I go with Ghost and Ignite.

Ignite- Helps with early game kills and high HP regen champs ( Talking about you Mundo!)

Ghost- Great for get aways or chasing.

Possible other Summoner Spells:

Smite: If you wanna jungle this build works for jungling also.
Flash: If you prefer flash over ghost
Exhaust: For them get aways or high attk speed champs.

Farming

I didn't build this guide for mainly getting last hits, i normally have 5 kills 5 mins in when i play Udyr so that's were i get my farm. But if you don't have that kind of luck yet, farming on Udyr is extremely easy.Just use tiger stance when trying to last hit minions, and use your turtle stance to lane longer. After u get the Razor farming for Udyr is a joke one hitting minions left and right.

Team Work

Udyr can be a huge team player.

Bear Stance is your main key to being a Team player.
With a stun you can apply to a champ every 2 secs, this is crucial in team fights

Use this stun on fed champs, Nunu Ult, Katarina Ult, or just to lock out dps or healers in team fights.

Summary

All in all Udyr is a Great champion ether way he is played. Dont give up if you have a bad game or to with him when just getting started, he has a few tricks you can teach your self to use as you play him. Also dont underestimate him as a Laner.
