Ive tested many different builds for this character, tank is nice, but i think that going damage and crit is the way to go.

First you want to start with the mana crystal, so when your spamming your Q ability to last hit minions or to kill enemy champs your still decent on mana. You do not have to rush into a trinity force if you dont want to. But you should have a sheen as soon as possible. This champ increases his own attack damage so adding the sheen will increase it for the next attack by 100%.

You can either go for speed 3 boots or for the CC reduction. It depends on who your facing. I like to go with Swiftness because your w ability is % based which mean you go alot faster with speed 3.

Frozen mallet is self explanitory. It gives damage, health and a guaranteed slow.

Last whisper is nice because of the attack speed and armor pen. Once your damage and crit goes up enough you will be destroying the field.

From this point on you can base the rest on how the game is going. If your losing then u should try and get some more HP and resist. Such as a Viel or GA. If your winning then u can go for the PD for that dodge and crit.

Now the infinity edge is expensive yes, but if the game goes on long enough then u should try to get it. This will make your damage go to such an unfair level then you will be smashing face.

Abilities

Decompose (Passive)-You steal a % of any minion or champ's life when they die.
Rabid Bite (Q)-Attacks the enemy and increases your attack damage.
Contaminate (W)-Lays down a cloud like area. Increases your attack speed, movement speed, and CC reduction.
Pillar of Filth (E)-Shoots a big bolder out of the ground and blocks that area and slows enemies caught in the sludge.
Agony (R) Ultimate-You steal some of the champs health and a % of his armor and magic resist, then do the same over the next 6 seconds.

Another build to look at.

Swiftness Boots
Blood thirsterx2
Frozen Mallet
PD
Infinity edge.

This build is crazy expensive. But ive got it in a few matches and its just to unfair.
All that damage and with a slow. It destroys.

This champ looks tough but you must remember with these builds, hes not a tank. Do not chase alone, or be on the enemy side of the map when there all mia >.> Dont miss out on team fight because trundle, if his q is timed right, can steal almost every kill in the fight and then be mega op. You maby be ***** at but tell em to shuv it when your 25-4-12. With your build completed and your unstopable.
