Introduction

Hello, I've been playing LoL for about two years now and during that time I have found that I love Tryndamere. I have been playing him since season 1. I have looked on Mobafire and SoloMid for guides to help me out, but I realized that I ended up just using bits and pieces of the guides that I have found. So without further ado, here is my guide.

Pros / Cons

PROS:

Spinning Slash is a great tool to use to get to the back of the enemies team, escape death, and even early burst for first blood.

Mocking Shout is amazing for catching up to enemies as they run away, or even to use in duels as it reduces your enemies AD.

Bloodlust is really good for sustain and damage steroid.

Tryndamere is a very strong hyper carry that exceeds in all stages of the game.

CONS:

Many people assume that Tryn is OP and uncounterable

Is very prone to being bursted

Shutdown hard by CC

Runes

For the most part I generally use:

Mark of Armor Penetration x9
Seal of Armor x9
Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x9
Quintessence of Attack Damage x3

(However recently I have been testing using Armor Penetration Quints and it works really well when I am facing a tanky Renekton or Garen top.

Also I will start experimenting with Life Steal quints and AD marks in the near future.)

I use the Armor pen marks on Tryndamere because it seems every game the enemy starts with Cloth Armor and 5 health pots, so I the early armor pen helps a lot.
I use Armor seals to help with trades and minion damage, as well as when I am targeted by the enemy ADC it helps to be able to take a bit of damage.
I use Magic resist per level glyphs to help survive any burst damage I assume I will take.

Masteries

I take 21/9/0 Masteries focusing on Physical Damage, I play Tryndamere as a Split push assassin, I will push a lane and wait for them to try to 2v1 or sometimes even 3v1 me, and use my ult to secure two kills or an escape.

These masteries give me the damage I need in order to kill their carries quickly, and survive for a good amount of time in lane.

Farming/Lane Phase

Farming as Tryndamere is fairly straightforward, you want to try to keep your rage bar full at all times and poke with a crit when your lane partner decides to try to cs.

If you need to use Q to heal then try using it right before you CS, if you do it mid auto attack you will still get the crit bonus from having full rage and the additional rage from killing a minion will help with keeping your rage bar as high as possible.

Blue Side:
Keep Tribush warded at all times, depending on the jungler you may also need to ward river near the entrance to your blue buff.

Purple Side:
Tribush ward is an absolute must. Also warding their blue buff is also a great way to let your team know if he is doing it or even to let you know ahead of time if he is on his way to gank you.

With Spinning Slash and ghost (if needed) getting out of ganks is fairly simple, and sometimes if you feel strong enough you can easily 2v1 and come out on top if you bait it properly.

Tips you may need to know!

The biggest tip I could give is about Mocking Shout:

Mocking Shout reduces enemies AD and if their back is turned to you, slows them down tremendously.
What most people I play with or against forget that Tryndamere's W, Mocking Shout, still reduces their attack damage even if their back isn't turned when you use it. So when you go to trade that riven or jax, feel free to pop it in their face and crit them a few times and E away.

The next big one is about Guardians Angel:

Many times I see other Tryns use their ult before their Guardians Angel pops, this wastes your ult entirely because it "stuns" you and makes you useless during its duration.

Tryndamere's Level 2 Damage:

I hate it when I see a tryndamere neglect the amount of damage that he can do at level 2. If you have enough Rage, and you aren't at full health, you can literally three shot someone with one or two crits at level two. And for the most part, you can E in and smack them once or twice before they can react, doing decent harass to them.

Conclusion

Tryndamere has been my favorite champion for a while now and I am (hopefully) just going to use him to climb myself to gold, but we will see how that goes.

Alas, thank you for reading my guide and I bid you all happy hunting in the Fields of Justice!
