Although born to poor gypsy parents, the champion known as Twisted Fate was able to gamble his way to prosperity as a card shark in the seedy underground gambling circuits of Demacia and Noxus. No matter how close the authorities came to catching him, the rogue always found a way to slip through their fingers. Despite his good fortune, he was never able to win that which he truly desired - the ability to control magic. When Twisted Fate learned of an experiment being conducted in Zaun that might help him with his wish, he did the only thing a gambler of his worth could do - he went all in and volunteered for the experiment.
Conducted by the infamous Dr. Xavier Rath, Twisted Fate was told that the wager for such participation might be steep. He might change forever, or nothing might happen, or he might die horribly. Pain, however, was likely a part of the deal no matter the outcome. These were hardly the worst odds the gambler had faced; his hopes raised, Twisted Fate underwent the experiment, enduring what he must for a chance at his dream. Then, it ended - with seemingly no effect whatsoever. The gypsy rogue flew into a murderous rage, but, before he could strike down the team, he suddenly teleported himself miles away. With a sly grin, he realized his luck had won out yet again. He now brings his luck and rakish charm to the Institute of War, where he is the champion of choice for many - especially the gambling kind. To this day, Twisted Fate has avoided his inevitable reunion with Dr. Rath. The Card Master knows, however, that a confrontation is coming.
"While the future may be mysterious and unknown to most, Twisted Fate is certain that his future lies within the cards."
This is my guide for Twisted Fate.
Twisted Fate is one of a kind champion and can work with many different builds, but I'm showing you my favorite build... AP Twisted Fate (For some of you who don't know AP stands for Ability Power.).
Pros and Cons
Twisted Fate's Pros and Cons...
- Always flexible
- Has a Global Clarivoyance
- Self-Mana Regain
- Awesome Damage, if played right
- Squishy and Item Deppendent
- Usually focused first
- Doesn't have global Teleport after the nerf :'(
I've often been called a noob by taking Heal as my summoner spell.
But I've found out it works perfectly with this build. When/If you get ganked Heal will help you survive. I can't say how many times Heal saved me from certain death, it's a real diamond.
And Flash is an AWESOME spell for escaping and chasing, really AWESOME!
Ok, runes I took are pretty much need to have runes. Mark of Insight (for increased Magic Penetration), Seal of Vitality (for a little bit more survivability late game), Glyph of Force (increased Ability Power = More harassment early game and more damage late game). And works awesome with blue buff.
I like to start a game with Boots of Speed, two health potions and a mana potion then get Doran's Ring x2 for more health and increased mana regeneration ( you are gonna spam cards no matter mid or lane), cause he has low MP. And so we get to the one of the most important things for Twisted Fate...
Mid or Lane
No matter of my team composition I always go mid. You will level up faster and be of more help to your team by ganking. Laning isn't bad either just never go in a lane with another spellcaster, best to go with some DPS or Tank champion.
Twisted Fate is one of the best if not THE best farmer in League of Legends. Especially AP Twisted Fate, Red Card + Wild Cards = Clearing Minion Waves in Seconds
Twisted Fate is really dependent from his team, and he will die very quickly in team fights if he is not positioned right. AP Twisted Fate is really useful in team fights cause of his Red Card - Wild Cards Combo.
He is also a great 1v1. You can Stun your opponents and hit him/them with Wild Cards and Stacked Deck. Again if you are AP Twisted fate you will do GREAT Amount of damage.
Positioning is really important for Twisted Fate. You always need to keep back in team fights cause you will reduce the risk of getting killed, and you will be of more help to your team.
