Introduction

This is a build that I created in order to play to the strengths of a Phoenix Jungle Udyr build. I wanted to compensate for Udyr's low magic resist and capitalize on his high damage output with this build. The reasoning for the hybrid Udyr is because Phoenix stance does AoE magic damage as well as on hit magic damage. At the same time, you will gain life steal for all of his stances which greatly increases your survivability mid to late game. The fact that all of Udyr's abilities carry a passive and active makes him somewhat difficult to learn. Make sure that you read all of these abilities so that you can utilize them to their fullest potential. If you can think of any other aspect of this guide that could be improved on, please feel free to comment.

Runes

For runes, I get attack speed marks, armor seals, and magic resist glyphs. The quints vary from health regen to crit chance. The attack speed marks and armor seals help to jungle faster, while the MR glyphs help to counter Udyr's low MR. The health regen quints obviously help to regen health while passing between monster points in jungle and while in between ganks.

Creeping / Jungling

I start with blue buff because of Udyr's high mana hunger while trying to stance dance and follow the standard Blue, Wolves, Wraiths, Golems, and finally Red. Most of the time, you will either gank or need to cover a lane by the time you finish the jungle twice over. However, if you don't need to cover or there is no ganking opportunity, you have the ability to continue jungling as long as you wish. This is because every time that you finish jungle, you wait merely ten seconds and can start the Wolves, Wraiths, and Golems over again. Note: Stance Dancing for those who don't know is changing from one stance to another at a high rate in order to utilize Udyr's passive which gives bonus attack speed for every change in stance.

Team Work

As far as ganking goes, your bear stance is OP for its stun. In the jungle I start with phoenix and go, turtle, phoenix, Bear/turtle at lvl 4. The reason for the choice between Bear and phoenix is because Bear stance is essential for ganking, and if your solo top lane is having problems, you will have to assist with a gank. Another optional lvl up choice would be when trying to attack tower. If you believe that you will be killing towers earlier in the game, then put a point into tiger stance for its ability to basically nuke the tower. As for when to shop early game, I usually do not go back to shop until i have about 1300 gold which allows me boots and most of my Wriggle's Lantern which only increases the jungling speed. In late game, your ability to spell vamp and life steal with this build will add to your ability tank for your team.

Summary

This setup allows for good survivability as long as you engage the enemy due to the high spell vamp and life steal as well as the passives that aid in the MR boosts. As long as you are engaging the enemy you will be leeching life from them and healing yourself. The largest problem with this build is that it is slightly expensive and so you should be cautious because if your team cannot hold you up for the first 7-10 minutes then this build may very well not be possible. If you have any suggestions for improvement for this build, please rate and comment and Good Luck!!!
