Hello, this is my first build ever and its on Taric, The Gem Knight. I never really saw Taric in games unless he was free and i dont know why. If you ask me Taric has the potential to be the most OP hero in the game.When i first saw him i was like "omg he is waaaay too op" but then i looked up builds for him and everybody built him as a full tank or support.This is all good but its not using his true potential.I think this is the best way to build him due to great damage output as well as survivability and endless mana

PROS:
Great nuker
Good DPS
Great survivability
a lot of mana and mana regen late game(can keep his ult up for long time)

CONS:
Is really weak early game looking from all points of view
Poor chasing ability

Greater Mark of Insight - Typical caster rune gives 8.5 magic pen which rly helps trough entire game
Greater Seal of Replenishment - Helps with early game laning
Greater Glyph of Focus - Since he has no CD reduct items this + blue buff gives him 40% cd reduction.Altho u can replace these with Greater Glyph of Potency cause u can buy an elixir and get 40% cd reduct but only late game
Greater Quint of Potency - Adds some nice damage to you early game

I go with 9/0/21. I take 9 in offence for cripple,cd reduct and 15% magic pen. And 21 in utility for CD reduct,Insight and mana regen

I start withand 2 health pots for staying in lane longer. Next i getto start stacking its passive as soon as possible andfor a movement speed boost. After that i getfor hp and mana. Then i upgrade tear of goddess into, it gives u some nice AP and mana. Next i upgrade boots. Then i buywhich increases ur AD a lot as well as adding 1 max mana per hit. After that i getwhich gives u some epic nuke dmg. The last item is optional. I recommend getting anothercause it increases ur AP by around 250 and gives u a lot of mana and mana regen which makes ur ult last very long. Other optional items areif the enemy is stacking magic resist,mainly for the slow which helps in chasing but it also gives u good AD and lifesteal/spell vamp,if ur getting CC'd a lot,gives u a little bit of everything :P

I max outfirst for its nuke damage and stun. Next i max outfor farming purposes and good damage as well. I max outlast but i take 1 rank at lvl 2 so i can stay in a lane longer,even tho i max it last it is still an incredible survival tool which can heal u up to 1.5k or in other words half of your health. I takewhen ever available.

- With this and ur runes/masteries and Q spell u basically dont ever have to recall from a lane
- Why flash? well ur E does dmg dependant on distance so u flash into an enemy and throw E for max damage. Very good for damage taric

OPTIONAL:
- Since Taric is a poor chaser Exaust really helps him get kills
- Good for chasing altho i find exaust to be better.
- Good for killing running enemies and can get u first blood

Sooo at the end u have 3k health,around 4k mana,330 AD(with ult),a 2k damage nuke, stun,a 1.5k heal,u heal 210 every sec + hp regen.........pretty OP i would say ;)
