Hello to whoever is looking at this page. This is my first guide (please leave feedback!) and I hope it might help some newbie players out there who are hoping to become decent Urgot players. For those ***** are completely new to the champion, Urgot is an anti-carry champ who focuses on Attack Damage (AD) and Armor Penetration (ArPen).

Greater Mark of Desolation; a must for Urgot, you desperately need arpen
Greater Glyph of Shielding; Urgot is very squishy, and this will help your survivability
Greater Seal of Resilience; Same as above
Greater Quintessence of Desolation; Same as Mark of Desolation

Urgot uses standard masteries for any AD champ, going 21/0/9 and dipping into Greed in the balance tree, because Greed is good. (bonus points if you get the reference)

I start out with the Sapphire Crystal so I have more mana to burn on my Q which will be spammed quite a bit once you get your lock-on with corrosive charge. First time back I like to save up for The Brutalizer. Next is either Boots of Speed or Manamune, depending on whether you or constantly mana hungry. Once you have those you are pretty much set for your damage output. The other three items are all situational, and mainly defensive. Get Banshee's Veil if you constantly find yourself CC'd, or get Warmog's if you need that extra survivability. If you are looking for more DPS go with Nashor's Tooth. Once you have it's CDR then you can launch four acid hunters per corrosive charge instead of three. Only purchase Nashor's Tooth if you have already gotten some survivability items!

Your main ability is the acid hunter. It should always be skilled up whenever possible. You only need one rank of corrosive charge since its only uses are locking one with acid hunters and using it for vision in bushes. Your terror capacitor is 2nd only to acid hunter, the reason being is it makes you less squishy with the shield it provides you, and each rank of it increases the slow on your abilities and auto-attacks. His ultimate should be taken whenever available, it provides you with a way to bring the enemy to your team, and even (with the insane amounts of armor and magic resist it grants you) survive a gank.

My personal favorites for Urgot are flash and ghost. Flash is especially good with your ultimate, switch an enemy carry around into your team, then flash back to safety. The only other summoner spells I would use on Urgot are teleport and exhaust. Exhaust is great for stopping fleeing targets or for halting the damage output of an AD champ. Teleport is great on any champ for getting around the battlefield.

Urgot is an easy and fun champ to play, but there are some small details to his gameplay that if you utilize, will make you an exceptional Urgot player.Remember that your ulti gives you an insane amount of armor and magic resist,use it for survivability as well as its teleportation.When contemplating face-checking a bush,instead launch a corrosive charge, it gives sight where it lands, and finally remember that the slow that terror capacitor gives you can be applied to an attack already in flight.You can launch a corrosive charge, and before it hits, activate your shield and still get the slow.
