Build Guide by Attempts

Okay, so you clicked on this because you are in a ranked match in an ELO bracket of players that are competetent of targeting you the second you ult.
If you agree with DEWO's or other popular guides on mobafire, you are in a low ELO bracket with players that still target the tank over you. Sorry to tell you this, feel FREE to downrate after reading this part.
Mercury's Treads (Berserker Greaves are low ELO for warwick and you don't want ninja tabi unless the team has NO stuns and very little (1-2) slows
The order doesn't matter a lot. A majority of the time I build the Razors then maybe speed 1 boots or maybe Razor and Crossbow and then boots. It's all situational.
^ That's it. Even the GA is situational.
Now for the possible items..
Guardian Angel - this item is your third item most of the time. One exception is if there is a fed AP at which you'd want something like a Banshee's Veil.
Banshee's Veil - usually this is your fourth item, unless there are no threatening AP or no threatening spells you would need to block (which is rare.)
Sunfire Cape - used if you need health and are dying constantly to an AD source.
Spirit Visage - this item is great if you are feeling low on health and need some added MR. Not to mention you also get some CDR.
Force of Nature - you probably only want this if you have Banshee's Veil, Spirit Visage, and Guardian Angel. But honestly, if you're being killed by an AP carry so much that you need this you're either facing a fed Vlad or you aren't ulting the right person.
Thornmail - if you have a nice health pool (1 or 2 Sunfire Capes for instance, if you're facing a team being hugely carried by someone like trist or other ranged DPS that uses lots of auto attacks) and you are constantly being targeted by the auto attacking ranged DPS then you should buy this mainly to make them choose another target but also to punish them if they continue to attack you.
Randuin's Omen - armor, health, and the slow make this a great item if there at lots of melee DPS or ranged DPS that loves to be in melee range (common). This item can be a real gamebreaker if you use it right after you ult, since you could easily be right in the middle of them by the time it's over.
This will be short. I personally like the red elixir because it adds to my large health pool and makes my ult stronger. A LOT of others like to use green, but it isn't my style if I'm buying one of them. I actually usually buy 2 if I have a spare 600g (red and green.) Unless you're magewick you shouldn't get blue until you're at the point where you have every item and need to waste money.
Items not to buy
Damaging items. Unless you are completely STOMPING the team and they aren't focusing you at all then you should not do this. This makes you an easy target to dying, since you're melee and your ult makes you extremely vulnerable.
How to use your ult
Click R then click your target. I don't want to tell you how to use it because you have to develop your own style. Your style is different from everyone else's, no matter what the people are saying you should do. You learn from trial and error -- not from me giving you a 10 step guide.
I am expecting the people telling me that this guide is dumb, "ww is melee DPS duh why would I build tank that's just dumb." For this reason, I will explain why you need to build tank to thrive as warwick. Similar to garen, your damage is strong (not strong enough that you don't have to buy a Bloodrazor, but strong enough that you don't have to spend all of your item slots of damage.) Second, you WILL die a LOT in any decent ELO if you do not build tank. You are similar to evelynn - you come out of stealth (or ult in in this case) and you die immediately. If you build tank then you will be able to survive their burst while taking out one squishy of their team and also your carries will be doing serious damage while you are distracting.
If you have any questions or suggestions don't be afraid to comment, I will try my best to answer. It doesn't matter to me if you downrate this guide, because I'm not doing it for rating, rather for helping the mobafire community.
