errr. welcome to my guide.

I dont often make guides at all in fact this is my very first but i thought i needed to clarify how people should play this hero.
particularly in other guides there has been a bit of confusion in regards to item choice which i think drastically limits this heroes ridiculous damage.
seeing as this probably is our last chance to all you vayne lovers to use this hero before she gets 'wtf im now not even the same hero i got so nerfed,' i thought i just have to do my duty and help you all out =)

Runes

runes are 9x armor pen. obvious reasons.
9x either flat armor or attack speed. i usually get armor because if 1 xtra attack
gets in there because of the 13 armor, thats alot more then what 7% attack speed
can do for you. you would have to get in 15 attacks which often u dont get a
chance
to early game, just believe me and get it. theres a reason pros get it for there
ranged carries.
9x flat magic resist. same reason as above. except even more reason to get.onlything
that could own vayne is magic/nuke damage so combine this with masteries andyoull
start with about 49 mag resist. suddenly, vlad doesnt seem so strong after all...
3x armor pen. maybe its ok to get Attack speed glyph but being a pretty nukey ad as
is i dont thing attack speed is really neccesary as most heroes will drop by the
time you utilise the AS properly

Masteries

pretty standard 21/9/0
+6 to armor and magic resist i think more useful than 5% bonus exp
some can argue that point but i aint listening =)

Items

boots first x3 pots.
most pros do and its for the silly people who venture to far from tower.
if you aint pro enough to last hit without the dorans blade +10 dmg then get more pro.
the pressure of being able to harass with tumble and guarantee hit almost every time with passive/boots speed is very powerful. noone can outrun it early game hence giving u opportunities to get kills early.

next is bf sword or beserker greaves.
bf if u can afford on first trip home or just upgrade greaves.
dont get sheen its the single pet hate i have with people playing vayne
consider this maths,
bf sword = 1650 gold
sheen = 1260

now lets suggest that vayne has 80 base damage (im sure this isnt exactly the right amount she has at this level) around the time you acquire these items, i know bf sword costs more. your about level 7

bf sword does 135 extra raw damage + 240 auto attack damage = 375
sheen gives you 0 extra raw damage but procs on hit effect when you say tumble giving you 80 extra raw damage + 240 auto damage = 320

bf sword = 375
sheen = 320

now lets count synergy with abilities
bf sword: even with level one tumble gives you bonus approx 25 damage, also 25 bonus damage with condemn ( and 50 if u manage to pin to wall )

sheen: gives you a little mana ( i know someone is going to rant how good it is but it really isnt think about it)

so in lets say 2-3 seconds the real damage is approx

sheen = 424 + regular silver bolt damage
bf sword = approx 529 + silver bolt damage

now even with 400 gold difference, i dont think a little short sword can make up for that gap or a dagger.
ok so you say trin force gives you some survivabilty , let me tell you that using you zeal your about to build works out better for your phantom dancer, also i find in alot of cases, getin a singular negatron cloak and chain mail can give you a huge enough boost of defense than a flat amount of hp.
anyways i can go on about the detailed reasons why, hopefully even someone decides they can be bothered explaining it and make there own guide cause i cant but for all those brainy math people, im sure you can see where im heading =)

Next complete you infinty edge
upon completing infinity edge and doing it pretty quick, youll find you can almost 3x hit people to 0.
youll also notices that even the hardiest tanks will drop heavily in the hp department when you proc your silver bullets with at least 1-2 crits.

Next is phantom dancer.
so now you have your core items which are greaves, infinity edge and phantom dancer.
now its time to analyse the game and make your adjustments.
often youll find alot of the problem ( if you have any ) will be from nukey caster damage and unable to survive a head on collision with them. also, you dont want to return to base as often because you have already rape items that can obliterate most people even for the next 15-20mins in the game.

so basically you should gain a vampiric scepter to life steal off creeps to stay in the skirmishes happening around this time + get your negatron and then eventually banshees veil
will negate most damage that other defensive items can provide.

then if the game really drags either finshing your blood thirster against squishier targets or gaining another phantom dancer against tanks and then eventually geting both will make you do ridiculous amounts of damage.

Skill Sequence

pretty standard skill sequence. maxing out silver bolts for big burst on third hit and then tumble 2nd for utility on and tons of stealth via ult. maxing out condemn as a priority is not recommended. just good for the stun if near wall or pushing back for escape. because it knocks hero away from you you wont be using it as much as tumble, as well as having a long *** cd.
having silver bolts and 2sec tumble is more useful, better.

Summoner Spells

exhaust flash.
ghost is overkill for passive
ignite isnt necessary as u do insane dmg anyways
exhaust slow + takes damage away from then and in the time exhaust finishes they may have died +)
flash is so useful for escaping. if u need ghost to escape you put yourself to far from your tower or away fromyour allies. besides you gain movement speed in short burst as they chase you so most melee cant catch you =)
flashing over a wall or to kill an enemy to suddenly get in range of your passive is more useful

Gameplay

Just a few notes of potential for playing vayne at various stages.

Take a solo lane
in early phase of game take advantage of your boots plus 3x pots to put them on the defensive and tower hug, if u can do this, then just last hit creeps and zone the enemy out of exp. i cant stress how major it is to deny enemy exp, LAST HIT CREEPS ONLY IF U HAVE CLEAR ADVANTAGE AND PUNISH THEM FOR GETIN CLOSE. try to do that every game.
when u tumble try to be a little out of there range, but when u do perform the tumble towards them, your just in range to give them a little auto attack. if your around lvl 4-5, try to get 3x hits for the silver bolt proc which is easily achievable for her passive.

when u hit level 6, this is where u can make people cry. if you need to heal and get your greaves or a bf sword around the lvl 6-9 mark, trying to lure them away from the tower and then chase them down with tumble and ult. most games i would by my greaves or bf sword between 6-9 and come around from bush in mid lane and turn my ult on from in the bushes. then i would tumble out using the 1.5 seconds stealth and try and condemn the enemy in a good spot if i can, then auto attack chase them down and tumble whenever is up. at this stage you will almost always get a kill because at this point is where she is so fkn op.

when you get you inf edge , dont be afraid to tumble auto attack harass even annies and ranged casters, with the rune set up and masteries you should be ok to survive a round of spells and proceed to auto attack chase them down with tumble etc. and around the lvl 10-12 mark when gting inf edge is possible youll notice you can pretty much almost 3x hit heroes if u manage to get a couple of lucky crits =)

when u get phantom dancer and inf edge you gameplay should be that of using everyone around u as meat shield and auto attack tumble spamming. then if someone tries to pick on you, condemn and tumble/flash away as necessary.

ONE VERY IMPORTANT POINT I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR. I HATTEEEEEEEEEEE WHEN PEOPLE SIDE SCROLL LEFT AND RIGHT LEFT AND RIGHT IN A TEAM FIGHT INSTEAD OF AUTO ATTACK THE FLOOR. ITS SIMPLE, A + LEFT CLICK THE FLOOR USE YOU DPS = DAMAGE PER SECOND, YOU AINT DOING DPS IF YOU ARE MOVING LEFT AND RIGHT NOT DOING ANYTHING IF YOU ARE SCARED THEN TELL YOUR TEAM TO NOT FIGHT AT ALL. REMEMBER YOU HAVE TRICKS UP YOUR SLEEVE. TUMBLE AWAY FLASH AWAY BUT wHEN NOONE IS FOCUSING JUST FOLLOW THIS SIMPLE INSTRUCTION. A + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON THE FLOOR. please =) xoxo

p.s i have to use caps because its a very important point. i think its the single biggest problem in the game with noobs, they would improve there rating 100% if they just did some damage by auto attacking the floor.

imo the biggest problem of noobs in lol today is this.

ill be honest. i made this guy one day raging cause i cant believe wasted potential in front of my eyes, maybe ill fine tune this guide one day when im more calm. i think reading this u can see some valid point, anyone have anything they want me to change add just comment below and if its a worthwhile idea ill put it in =)
