Voted up. This guide suits a good playstyle, very different from my own (this guide was interesting to read). Ultimately, I don't think CDR junkie is the best way to take advantage of Veigar's full nuking potential, but I can't say for sure because I haven't tried your build yet. I just have a few minor tweaks:

* I prefer to pick up Meki first, with a few health pots or a health and a mana pot. If your laning partner is reliable, those first 6 levels of farming and harassing can come a lot easier.

* RoA that late game? Not really worth the price at this point. RoA is best used as a way get an advantage mid-game/early late-game. If you get it, it should be the first core item you get (before upgraded shoes!) Point being, there are better crazy late-game items out there, like Lich Bane.

* Ignite isn't usually something that a nuke needs. I get where you're going with it, but late-game it's not as useful as something like Ghost, which I see you also recommend. Veigar is really low mobility, and something like Ghost can make up for that, both offensively and defensively. I understand this is mostly a playstyle thing.

* I would rather replace Archangel's with Abyssal or Void. You don't need all that extra mana when you two-hit casters and your team is competent.

That said, I really like your idea of Frozen Heart. I haven't used that before, and I think I will. I also like to see a caster that understands the importance of Haunting Gauise and Soulstealer. I also like how you maxed Dark Matter before the CC. If you position DM right, it's the best mid-game nuke. All in all, a well done guide.

P.S. I'm pretty sure Katarina actually can Shunpo without being stunned. As you are, I am not sure.

Ok, never tried to max out the stun before cause of the huge nuke of Dark Matter, but I'll try it soon then :)
For purpleges, read the items sections till the end ^^ I put Mejai in the core, but I pick it mid game. My first items are Doran's Ring/Boots of Speed/Tear of the Goddess
Thanks by the way :)

I've been playing Veigar a while and I like the item build but I agree with xenrift and I think you should max out the stun before Dark Matter so you can land the hit and if your quick maybe even put in a Baleful Strike, but nontheless I like it:D +1

I know veigar does insane dmg, but early game you need to focus on farming. Some champs take advantage of this and harrass you knowing you're very low on mana. They can also potentially kill you. Mejais should never be a core imo, it's better to invest in an item to sustain yourself in lane. (catalyst for the proc or tear of goddess). Veigar is a huge early game farmer. If you can't farm well, your late game won't be nearly as good as it should.

I didn't post Deathfire in my core build, the build you can see in top of the page is just a situational nuking build, I will precise it more clearly ^^
Thanks anyway :D

I'm not sure what the point of getting dark matter at level two is. Also a suggestion would be to max stun before dark matter because you need to be able to hit the dark matter and it helps when your jungler is ganking. Also I think deathfire grasp is more of a situational item because is full nuke is usauly enough to kill a carry but I guess against an all tank team or a really tanky team this could be useful. +1

Tell me why it sucks at least before voting -1
If you're a guy who wants to play with 890AP and hit 2000 with your Q late game, don't go on mobafire, you won't find good builds with this in it.
