First off, Veigar is a boss. Many champions have the potential to be a boss. Veigar though, cannot be a boss unless you know how to play him well. This guide is not gonna tell you everything there is to know about Veigar, and it won't let you be a badass nuker that can instakill anyone in the game.

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN BE A BADASS VEIGAR IS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Scratch that, many people play Veigar and they know what they are doing. Most opponents(at least ones that aren't noobs) are not gonna just stand there and let you steamroll them. You have to know what to do, and when to do it. This guide is not gonna tell you how to play Veigar to his maximum potential. If you want that guide, then you might as well go ahead and stop reading this.

Runes. They can turn the tides in any game, and in any situation.

VEIGAR IS A MAGIC DAMAGE DEALER. This means you use Ability Power(AP).

Runes for AP users: Blah blah blah. I'm not goin to tell you the best runes to get for every champion in the game.

Veigar Runes: These are the runes that I use. I am not saying that these runes are the only way to get Veigar to his maximum potential.

Greater Quint of Potency: Grants you more AP in the beginning of the game, which gives you a better chance to get First Blood. I AM NOT TELLING YOU THAT NO MATTER WHAT YOU WILL GET FIRST BLOOD WITH THESE RUNES. These do an advantage over your enemies though.

Greater Mark of Insight: Veigar uses AP, AP is Magic Damage, so on and so forth. Magic Pen makes your abilities deal more damage. More damage=more fun, and more QQ

Greater Seal of Potency: Gives you even more AP at the start of the game.

Greater Glyph of Potency: More AP=more Veigar awesomeness

Items. Ah, the thing that everyone likes to talk about. So lets get started!

The Meki Pendant gives you more Mana Regen so that you can spam Q more often. The Meki Pendant then upgrades into Chalice of Harmony. I love this item because taking this and adding it to Veigar's passive gives him phenominal Mana Regen. The Magic Resist is nice as well.

Tear of the Goddess. Extra Mana? What's not to love?! Tear of the Goddess grants you extra mana everytime you cast a spell! Spamming Q+Tear of the Goddess=Epicsauce!

Sorcerer's Shoes. Extra Magic Pen

Rabadon's Deathcap. Honestly I believe this a must on Veigar. It gives him much more burst damage.

Deathfire Grasp. Extra AP, more Mana Regen, and its ability to deal 30% of the targets current HP is quite epic.(extra 3.5% for every 100 AP you have)

Archangel's Staff: Takes the Mana that you have and creates even more AP!(A must on Veigar, well by my standards it is)

Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Well, it gives you more AP and some extra HP. Passive is nice as well.

Force of Nature. This is one that can switched out with other items to either: get more AP, get Armor instead, get more HP, or get more Mana Regen. I figured Force of Nature was a good choice in this build.
