When I began playing League of Legends I was immediately drawn to the AD Carry role because it emulated roles I had played in other games. I started out by playing almost every game. I saw her as the typical "Ranged Frost Archer" which we have all see plenty of times before. I found her good yet not great. I felt that Ashe was lacking too many things. I then began playing quite a bit, there was actually a time where I played no one but her for about 50 games. However, despite that fact that she had great range, attack speed, and the escape, I always felt like her skills were way too underpowered. She was too difficult to keep positioned correctly.

Then I discovered . She has everything a carry needs and a whole lot more. She is seen by many as having a "Weak early to mid-game", which is generally seen as her only real flaw. If you use the correct sequence of masteries, runes, skills, and items, which I have listed below, you will be unstoppable.

The importance of Armor Penetration is never very important on any character until very late game when you get your last item: . I believe that because of this fact it is often undervalued or even overlooked when people choose their runes. The bottom line is that a carry's ability to do damage to enemy champions far outweighs missing one or two minion last hits. The Quints are your biggest resource when it comes to doing armor penetration. If you use you are making a mistake. Think of it this way: The attack damage will be negated if and enemy champion has armor greater then the increased damage. This means that your attack damage quints are doing absolutely nothing if the enemy has just one . The Quints are the BIG runes, they can make or break your build and the 14 Armor Penetration that you get late game is mandatory to this build.

With what I said about Armor Penetration Quints in the section above, this is not the case with the marks. You are going to want the increased attack damage from your marks rather then the additional increase you would receive from Greater Mark of Desolation. Having the added attack damage from your marks starts you out in the game with nearly 10 extra damage. This will not only help with early-game last hits but also increases the damage of both and . Both of these skills scale on attack damage. You need to have BOTH increased attack damage AND armor penetration on to round out her rough spots and make her the most powerful overall. However, over-killing either of these stats will result in undermining the other, which will make her more vulnerable. Build as I have said and you will be fine.
