Just a heads up, this is my first guide, so i'd appreciate any comments ideas or constructive criticism thanks!

From my experience playing Dominion Fighters play a big role. Its their job to break up the flow of battle and leave the enemy going wtf just happened! Time and again I see Riven and Irelia (shes an assassin that acts like a fighter) doing a great job with this role. This got me thinking about the other fighters available and at the moment the only ranged fighters available are Vlad, Urgot, and Kayle (sometimes).

So if you like mages/ranged and you want to bring a lot of help to your team fights, Vlad is the fighter for you.

Pros:

Ranged
Great farmer/pusher
Can become untargetable
Heals
Can amplify allies damage
High HP

Cons:

Weak to Kitar's Blood razor
Can be squishy
-20% healing effects on Dominion
No Crowd Control (Rylai's helps a lot)

Magic Pen marks like with all mages.

Seals of Force for damage,

OR

Thanks to Vlad's passive giving him decent hp, dodge runes are also viable.

Glyphs of CDR are essential for Vlad,
I prefer Focus as it helps if you lane bot.

Quints of Insight for damage or Potency for increased heal on your Transfusion.

Core Items

If you are going top:

Starting with Hextech will leave you slow so compensate for this by using ghost, and if you want to get mid use ghost after you cap to make it to the top in time to help your team (don't forget the map speed boost, thanks to your Utility Mastery it lasts 30% longer!)

If you are going bot:

Cap bot and then harass the enemy champ with your Q and E abilities, thanks to your hextech you will be healing the health you use on tides of blood. Vlad is also a great counter to Heim as you can just eat his turrets for more health xD Rake up some gold and if you get killed buy boots and ghost back to bot to keep the pressure on.

Basic setup, will add more build options based on enemy team setup
