here is my vlad build :P it should have over 4k hp and around 1000 AP from what i know but mobafire is not taking vlads passive into account right now :( i hope they fix it soon. anyways vlad should take mid lane to be at his full potential, take it and farm for lvl 1-4 then start harrasing your enemy from 5-6 you should get a kill if u do well from 5-6. The reason for going for kills and not farming is really simple, kill them so u can farm more efficiently without them in your lane :) and plus u get gold and xp for killing them.

catch up to poeple/run away
destroy poeple with ignite
flash in and out of situations

TAKE MID LANE!!!

use transfusion to harrass your opponent and last hit minions as necessary, you should be dominating your opponent and thus be careful of ganks from the side lanes, max transfusion first and max sanguine pool second(taking your ulty whenever possible). DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TAKE DAMAGE!!! plz do not be afraid of taking damage from your lane, you have regen ITS OK... i would stay in lane until i get about 2k gold or more if possible, if you cant get this much its ok... once you max out transfusion the fun begins :) you will uterly dominate your lane and farm like crazy, you should be getting 90-100% of the creep kills and killing your enemy a lot or at least making them blue pill every 1-2 minutes :)

take a ryleys before your sorc boots because your sorc boots won't be at its full potential until u get some ap scaling :P then just start stacking deathcaps! this will give u hp as well, about 400 hp each :) DO NOT GET A WARMOGS!!! warmogs is purely a tank item...you are not building as a tank, you are building as a mage but your passive makes you slightly tanky. and if you want you can take a zheonyas hourglass for people like zilean and his time bombs and **** like that.
