Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hi guys, this is my first build on here, but i feel it's a pretty strong one. Though obviously it's only as good as the player is. I've had a ton of success playing Vladimir as a caster. I usually ask for the 2v1 or mid solo whenever I'm in any match.
By the time you get transfusion rank 2 at level 3, it should be giving you a decent amount of lifesteal. By rank 3 at level 5 it's cooldown should be low enough to harass enemy heroes pretty well, and by rank 5 at level 9 you should be spamming it on enemy heroes whenever safely possible. I also use it a lot particularly early game to last hit mobs along with auto attacks.
I usually pick this up at level 2, its great for escape or for first blood. I use this alot for the purposes of letting transfusion pop back up for the last hit on someone early on while i have an ignite ticking.
Tides of Blood
this is a great little skill that stacks up to 4 times, the higher the stack the more damage it causes, but the more hp it costs to cast it. It's great for aoe farming mobs or dropping enemy heroes. Just get up on top of them and spam it in coordination with Transfusion.
Your ultimate is very powerful. It's an aoe spell which causes players effected by it to take increased damage, and take a direct damage as it wears off. Ignite and hemoplague work very well together. If you've been working down your enemy with transfusions by the time you hit level 6 you should have them in kill range. Pop ghost/ignite/hemoplague and try and land a transfusion on them you should have em dead easy, if not keep following and transfusion if safe. Remember that sanguine pool let's you tower dive better than any champion in the game.
Items-- The build above is pretty self explanatory, if your enemy is stacking MR early then you may want to pick up void staff for the 40% magic penetration before your Zhonya's Ring. The Zhonya's Ring is very good though, the combination of sanguine pool and Zhonya's ring immunity makes you a very difficult hero to focus.
That's about it, I've played Vladimir a lot of different ways, and this is the build I've landed on and I have been doing extremely well with. I feel the passive bonus for AP is far stronger than the hp benefits. So i take hp/ap items where i can and stack AP for the extra hp and the higher damage output. Thanks a lot and i hope this build works for you as well as it has for me.
