Is Vlad worth maining; will he stay consistently fun over 100's of games?

you should probably reword some of the intro stuff, since they removed spellvamp as a thing.

also it's worth noting that since runes are the only real source of spellvamp now, it's worth loading up on them in the runes.

also in the starting items, something worth mentioning about the book start: it saves you several hundred gold overall since you dont end up selling it.

Your analysis on the Singed matchup is really poor. Vs. Singed, you always rush Rylai's, stop his proxy if he does it and continue to get WoTA after Rylai's. The thing about WoTA rush vs Singed is well yeah he cant kill you, but you cannot kill him, with Rylai's you're still unkillable, but he isn't.

I'd like to make a comment.

Vlad without capped cdr is useless late game. That 10% cdr means his pool is on a 10 second cooldown apposed to 8 seconds. Those 2 seconds can make the difference thus why I'd say Spirit Visage is much more efficient than Abyssal Mask. Plus it gives you around 12 ap, gives you high hp regen, gives you more healing, and to top it all off even gives you more health whereas abyssal gives you a small damage boost which vlad doesn't need. You'd be doing more damage if you're spamming your abilities more often.

I prefer going 0/18/12 instead as the extra damage on thunderlords decree gives you so much burst and poke power. 45% cdr means a 7.7 second cooldown rather a 8.4 on w and of course gives you more early pressure with lower cooldowns. That extra cooldown allows your ultimate to come up 6 seconds quicker.

You also get more damage, more sustain with biscuits, as well as Dangerous Game giving a heal on assist/kill which can make the difference between living or dying. Deathfire Touch does nothing early game as you'll have little ap and the dot will be only around 9 damage over 3 seconds which is nothing compared to doing instantly 30 damage with thunderlords. The magic penetration is nice, but that's all there is.

Also, i'd rank Renekton as hard. If you're vsing a good Renekton you will struggle, so running Teleport IS A MUST. If you walk up to Transfusion him, he will jump on you, if you pool you lose 20%, he can then still follow you with the 2nd dash and do even more damage.

Master Yi (figures huh?) also wrecks Vladimir If you walks up to transfusion, you will still take the alpha damage if you pool as the animation ends, and then be zoned for the next 20 seconds or die. He can Meditate your ultimate damage and survive, he can tower dive you at full hp pre-11 or so.

Getting pool at level 4 is what normal vlads do, idk why everyone saying it's wrong. 2 points in q gives you more sustain, it's unlikely for you to get engaged on at level 3, and even if you do, it's fine because you'd probably lose more health pooling, plus it's match up dependent.

A few questions:

#1. Why R-EQ in your skill combos when EQ-R-AA/W-EQ is more effective than R-EQ due to the post-cast delay on R?
#2. What do you think of corrupting potion start as a way to bully the enemy laner and counter all-ins?
#3. I'm noticing a strange disregard of CDR in your builds. Is there a reason why you prefer Sorc to Ionian, especially when the latter has been buffed, and why you do not favour SV (apparently being replaced by Abyssal)? Or if you simply don't value CDR highly in general, I'd like an explanation on that please, especially since Vlad's kit seems suited perfectly for CDR.
#4. Do you still consider Zhonya's a core after its massive price hike, considering that Rylai's can be used as an alternative tank item, or is that not tanky enough?
#5. Is there a reason why you still prefer teleport over ignite despite the teleport nerf? Do you feel Vlad's gank/splitpushing potential is strong enough, don't feel that Vlad is capable of laning well enough to utilise ignite, or etc.
