Good guide I suppose however with so much focus on early game cooldowns, perhaps there should be more spell pen or AP to back it up? This is a more passive style of playing and less nukey. Im not completely sure.

This comment is much better already. Defense means more survivability, what means less focus on him. He also gets bonus HP what means more AP. And he also has th 4% extra AP which is also useful.

@Comment at your own build, you got a nice point on taking the Will of the Ancients instead of Spirit Visage. I've got to test it, I think Spirit Visage is good for early game because it's cheap and more % heal is just good. And Will of the Ancients is indeed a very good item, AP + spellvamp aura and it is just stronger than Spirit Visage. The only cons. is less CDR. But I'm going to test it certainly.

Who said anything about buying tank items for Vlad? That is just silly talk. And if you are unsure as to why one would run the defense tree for Vlad makes me wonder about you. However, with that said, you build is not bad. It is identical to one someone else used to have posted on these boards except they used defense tree for more damage and survival. Living equals damage. Extra AP means more damage. Extra Health equals more AP which equals more damage. No idea why people fail at realizing defense means offense with Vlad. Utility is ok at best. The speed burst is about the best reason, followed closely by the cdr... but the rest of the tree is waste.

However as far as spirit cvisage i prefer will of ancients. Stacking spell vamp is awesome on vlad.

I dont know why ppl use masteries in defense for Vladimir. Guys , if u want to buy tank items for Vladimir it's ok but If u wanna do him a Imba mage caster u should use 9/0/21!
