Through the northern reaches of Freljord are some of the most unforgiving lands in Valoran, the Ursine have survived upon the region's barren, stormy tundra for centuries. As a fierce and respected warrior of the Ursine, Volibear devoted his life to the protection of his people and loyalty to his elder brother, the tribe's chief. When his brother was killed during a hunt on the tundra, the tribe looked to Volibear as his successor. It was an honor and a burden that Volibear had never expected, but he shouldered the charge with pride. However, by Ursine tradition, the tribe could not recognize Volibear as chief until he returned from a journey to the peak of their sacred mountain, a place forever shrouded in a thundering maelstrom. There, Ursine chieftains must speak to the storm itself, gaining clarity and wisdom to empower them as mighty leaders.
Donning the chieftain's traditional armor and enchanted gauntlets, Volibear began the long and perilous climb up the slopes of the mountain. When he reached the peak and gazed into the raging storm above, he saw a horrific vision of a Freljord utterly consumed by war. Amidst the carnage, the Ursine fell dead upon a bloody battlefield. Believing the vision to be an omen of things to come if he did not act against them, Volibear traveled to the capital of Freljord. The Ursine had not ventured across the southern mountains in centuries and his appearance was met with unease. However, Queen Ashe recognized Volibear as a wise and powerful ally. In what Volibear considered the first step against a war-torn future, they forged an alliance. As part of their agreement, he joined the League of Legends in the name of a unified Freljord, representing the primal might of his nation on the Field of Justice.
"Few can weather the storm that follows in the wake of Volibear's roar."
Ok so here we are, i'v seen Voli mainly as Tank and seeing the Dmg bonus from his skills i said why not Tanky Dps... problem was he took bonus from AD/AP and not having real escape skills he needed HP too so i came with this idea tried it and worked very well for me, Usually i solo top with him as he is Tanky and has good harass
This must be the most trolling skill ever,Regenerates %Hp if Voli suffered 70%HP dmg helps Voli to much, i foud it really usefull at diving and escaping.
this one i use it mainly to reach distances faster/chasing it doesn't get bonus dmg so its good for it movement buff.It gives you a little movement boost when activated without facing towards an enemy champion. But when faced to an enemy champion it gives a Huge movement boost.
This is the main reason why i love volibear Passively grants stacking attack speed, upon reaching 3 stacks voli can chew on his enemy to give dmg based on his HP and the amount of enemies HP
nothing to say specialy about this dose tons of AOE dmg on a relativity low cooldown, i usualy used it for initiation, but carefully watching it through-out the fight.
Ok if you are fammiliar with Ionic spark except the attack speed, but the chain lightning is at every hit(BADASS)
Well he is Hybrid so it took one more point in offensive than usual, going 22/8 worked very well and the bonus from Offensive made Voli good at harassing and the points from defensive helped the sustainability a little
i start with trinity mainly because its the most expensive item but the best, it gives you sustainability dmg and movment speed.
the second item boots are the most important item in the game, why ionian because after getting trinity(sheen) spamming skills will give u enormous dmg
i know rod should be an early item for catalyst buff but u do not care so much about passive, as voli you want more Hp/AP.
well Rylai is very good for Ap/Hp bonus and that slow with Trinity makes you Slow at almost every normal attack and every skill (it makes you ulti give AOE slow)
peoples asked why Hextech, mainly because it gives voli Life steal/ Spell vamp and its Active makes any squishy champion unable to escape u until u reach them
well i once reached a game that far to really need this item, it helped me for Atck speed and that magical dmg bonus worked well in addition with Frenzy.
This is not a must have build as for Rod/Wits end/Rylai can be changed with tankier items.
Pros / Cons
-Tons of Dmg
-He's 140% made in Russia ( :) )
- No escape abiility
- Easy to counter by mass CC's
- if u ****+3 enemies will laugh at you
