Intro
I started this build early on as a player, so masteries didn't really matter all the much. I suggest you start with Brute Force and Butcher to make the grind of Warwick (whether Jungling or Laning for exp) that much more easy. Summoner's Resolve is useful for Heal because it allows it to, well heal you more, and Hardiness allows for a minute amount of damage to be soaked up. Improved Recall is useful because it allows easier escapes due to Warwick being a little weak early on. And Good Hands is useful, for me, because I dont like being dead.
I experimented with my skills early on and I found this to work well. Hungering Strike early on allows you to deal out some good damage, while still healing yourself. This works well with the Doran's ring due to the Mana Regen and such. Hunters Call is also a very useful skill because it allows you to increase you attack speed drastically for a significant amount of time. This works well, later on, with the Frozen Mallet because it allows a nearly infinite amount of slow on the target. Blood Scent IS important, but I never build it super quick because you can get the same benefits from it's early levels as its later ones. Infinite Duress is MY FAVORITE skill of Warwick's. It allows you to finish of a fleeing opponent or last hit someone. It is an overall very useful Ult and should be leveled accordingly.
Early on I would buy Doran's ring. It allows Warwick some good Mana Regen and allows Hungering Strike to be a useful early on skill. Of course build the regular boots, but then upgrade those to Berserker's Greaves. The bonus to Attack Speed works well for Warwick and the 2 movement speed is very important for him because he is slow early on. Building Wriggle's Lantern allows you to add some MORE life steal to Warwick's skills and also allows you to lay down the Sight Ward in the Jungle. The Frozen Mallet is extremely useful because unlike most champions, Warwick doesn't have a Stun or Slow attack. The Mallet allows you to slow them enough to catch up and continuously ride them as they retreat. The Rageblade allows for some super useful later on attributes. Your AP will rise allowing your skills to work better, you'll do more damage with autos and the Unique allows you to increase your attack speed in stacks. After that build Warmog's to get a bigger boost in health allowing Warwick to take more. If the game hasn't ended yet, sell the Ring and buy the Impaler. This is usually a technique everyone does, but I feel it works VERY well for the type of Warwick I play.
