Introduction

Xin Zhao is one of the most powerful melee champions in League of Legends. With his charge and "air knock" you will literally immobilise your enemies to death. With this build you will be fast as Master Yi or even faster. If you follow this build I guarantee you that you will literally run over your oppenents.

Runes

As you will notice I go for alot of attackspeed and runspeed that is why I have armor penetration as runes so you don't need to buy the item "Last Whisper" to eliminate tanks from "Summoner's Rift".

I will be more detailed about this here.
Armor Penetration Rune

What is Armor Penetration? How does it affect my damage?
Armor Penetration is when you can strike through some of your oppenents armor so your AttackDamage increases to that targets. So if a tank have over 200 armor and you hit like 100 on them then you will buy some armor penetration and you will them for maybe 150-200 instead or even more.
Attack Speed Rune

As you might know every 3 hit with Xin Zhao will restore 30health (this effect increases by each 2 level). This is why Life Steal isn't very important for Xin Zhao but Attack Speed is because of his "Q" attack sends your opponent flying on the 3rd hit and slows them for a period of time.
Cooldown Reduction Rune

Well I don't think I have to say so much about this, this will simple allow you to charge and do your other attacks more often.

Masteries

Masteries

To be honest I don't know what to say about these masteries. I find these the most effective but ofc you can change them a little. I'm actually testing alot of diffrent masteries and I'm not sure of what I think is the best masteries but this is the one I'm going for right now feel free to replay and tell me your masterie build!

Items

I like alot of Attack Speed and Movement Speed on Xin Zhao.

Attack Speed is great and I don't think I need to write alot of this because I spoke of it in the rune chapter.

Movement Speed is more then great it's awesome. If someone runs from you in fear you can easily run and get him with your charge attack then he will be slowed by the attack and if you have frozen mallet that I really love in this build you will slow him permanently so your comrades can help you kill the enemy.

Crit is really really good on Xin Zhao you have a great attack speed and you will get over 50% crit with these items so you will do ALOT of damage to opponents.

Skill Sequence

Skills this is the funnier part of the hero it is mainly the same thing over and over again but it's worth it trust me.
= 3 strong attacks on the third you will knock your opponent into the air.

= More attack speed and reduce the cooldown of your other attacks with 1 second each hit you do.

= This is your charge it is very important to use.

= Your ulti you will swing your spear and hit all the surrounding opponents and will give you some armor / magic resistance.

This is the rotation.->->->if in a teamfight doand spamaswell so you reduce the cooldown of yourattack and if someone is running away useto finish them off!

Summoner Spells

You will use Ghost and Exhaust those you have specced with your masteries and they are excellent on this hero. I don't know what to say really.

Creeping / Jungling

Well you don't have to jungel with Xin Zhao or kill the creeps in the jungle really only if the other team is really going for you then you will have to kill creeps in the jungle so you can get your items instead of being ganged by the other team all the time. The Lizard buff is really good and you should try to get it and even the Golem buff is really good in the begining because you will be very short on mana so be carefull with the mana. When you see a line with a lot of mobs you can charge in and use your R ability so you will kill a lot of them and get a lot of gold!

Team Work

Xin Zhao isn't the first champion to go into a fight he should be like shaco or evelyn that strikes his opponent with surprise so let the tank dive into the fight first then you can use your skill sequence that I've written about. Target order is changing during the game at first you should try to gank the other teams carriers, if there is a Xin Zhao in the other team try to get help to kill him so he doesn't get the items fast as you.

Summary

Xin Zhao will make your playing a bigger joy and you won't regret buying him that I'm sure of!
If you follow this build you will enjoy playing the game alot as a melee champion this is the first Melee champion I really have enjoyed playing so give him a try and you will sure not be disapointed.

Follow this build and target the right target you will learn during the game which one to target and kill early gang with Xin Zhao is really easy aswell so use exhaust to get him slowed and focus one of them in the line.
