Exactly what Hamduden said, without Smite your leveling speed would hit rock bottom. You'd be severely outleveled.

By doing this, you save getting damage until the very end, making your Three Talon Strike hit terribly. It is a good idea though for item order, thank you!

Thanks everyone for the comments and voting!

My experience so far is: No. If you don't bring Smite into the the golem-fight it'll take ages, since the passive of madreds only hits 15% .. Still, I am only lvl 16, so maybe it'll be different for a lvl 30, but I believe this build is the right way to do it.

+1 for a nice guide. Didn't really believe at first, and I also lost the first game. But then I got a grip on it, and it actually worked very well, even tho I am only lvl 16.

This is really the best:
Boots - Starks Favor/Malady - Zeal(Phantom) - Madreds Bloodrazer - Bloodthirster - Frozen Mallet

I believe that Madreds bloodrazer should probaly come before Bloodthirster because of the passive. Maybe buy 1: BF Sword 2: Madreds Bloodrazer 3: Bloodthirster.

But indeed a nice guide. I'll try it some more and give more feedback.

If you don't jungle from the start i wouldn't consider it a jungling guide.

You can jungle from the start, and you do start jungling very early game. I usually am able to get BoS and Razor's by level 4.

And Yi is a great jungler and he starts at level 7.
