We all now the damage Xin Zhao does. Your enemies don't want that damage. They will focus you.
When your health bar is dangerosly low, just flash out and watch how the fight goes.
If you see that your team wins anyways follow the fleeing enemies to get a kill/assist.
If your team seems to loose, run!
If none of this is the case, look if the enemy has the potential to kill you. If not, dive back into the battle to get your team the victory.
Speed is always nice. And the movement buff of ghost is too.
It's getting you kills when enemies flee, it's saving your life if it's in danger or just op it for fun.
Despite it's nerf cleanse is still useful. Take it instead of Flash if you find yourself facing a team with many disables.
(Innate): Xin Zhao is healed for 30-70 hit points for every 3 attacks that he lands. This amount increases by 5 every 2 levels.
This is nice in the laning face, but don't rely on it to save you against enemies with heals like Warwick or Tryndamere.
Also it doesn't work with going in the junlge to refill your HP that well.
Three Talon Strike
(Active): Xin Zhao prepares to unleash a fearsome combo, causing his next 3 standard attacks to deal 15/30/45/60/75 bonus damage with the final attack knocking his opponent into the air.
Cost: 30 Mana
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 Seconds
This is (after your Ultimate)the reason people fear Xin.
The bonus damage is nice and the knock is awesome, because it allows your team to catch up to the enemy when needed.
If theres a Katarina or a Fiddlesticks in the opposing team, save this skill until they are channeling their Ultimates and negate most of their damage.
Usually activate it right after charging to the enemy, but before you use Battle Cry.
(Passive): Xin Zhao passively increases his attack speed by 15/20/25/30/35%.
(Active): Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, increasing his attack speed by double the passive amount for 7 seconds, and causing his standard attacks to reduce all other ability cooldowns by 1 second.
Cost: 35 Mana
Cooldown: 24/22/20/18/16 Seconds
Nice Passive and amazing active.
Pop this right after your Three Talon Strike knocked someone into the air to quickly refresh its cooldown and to make charging possible again.
This is the reason why can use your Ultimate this often. Don't be shy using your abilities. This skill will refresh them in seconds.
(Active): Xin Zhao charges an enemy, dealing 70/110/150/190/230 damage and slowing them and all other enemies in the area by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.7 seconds.
Cost: 70 Mana
Area of Effect: 225
Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 Seconds
It wont matter anymore where your appropriate target stands. Just charge in its face and tare it apart.
Use it also to get into the right position for your ultimate.
Great for chasing fleeing enemies, but just medicore for farming.
(Active): Xin Zhao unleashes a fierce spear sweep on targets around him, dealing 125/250/ 375 damage + 20% of their current health in physical damage. His armor and magic resistance are boosted by 30/40/50 for 8 seconds.
Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 75 Seconds
Despite its nerf it's still is just BRUTAL if you land this skill right.
Charge right into the enemy team and pop your ult. The CURRENT health of the enemies is what matters, so watch that you hit them at the beginning of the fight to get the most out of it.
Do NOT use this as a finisher!! It might work, but it won't help your team at all!!
Don't be afraid to use your ult. Battle Cry can refresh it fast.
I go for a 21/9/0 build. I've tried going 0/21/9 and 9/21/0 but I found Offense working best for me.
Obviously don't take magic pen in Offense since none of your skills deal magic damage. Duhduhduh!!
Marks: Take either armor pen or flat attack speed. I prefer armor pen since it helps more in late game.
Seals: I like to take mana reg per lvl like with all my chars because I hate buying mana regen items. But if you dont like that dodge seems like a good idea.
Glyphs: Take magic resist per lvl since physical dmg will be reduced by dodge, so casters are your biggest threat. Cooldown reduction isn't needed sonce you have Battle Cry.
Quintessences: I like to take flat health. It really helps in early game. Maybe attack speed could be considerable but I don't know.
Whoa, that's a small Core^^ But I seriously haven't had many games where I got more items than those.
Let's just start the clarification, shall we?
I think Dorans Shield doesn't need an explanaition and neither does the health pot.
Try to stay in the lane until you have 1,5k gold so you can get aandgetting you enough speed and still AS and Crit.
The next step should lead toor. Don't gothough. You need something to keep you alive during team fights.
is an awesome Item for Xin. the movement speed buff makes chasing and fleeing a blast, the attack speed has great synergy with your skills, crit chance synergyses greatly with Three Talon Strike and 20% dodge let you eat carries for breakfast.
I tend to take an item with extra speed for pretty much every champ I play because I hate beeing so slow^^ and I can't understand why so litttle Xin Zhaos take this item.
What do you buy when you have a Phantom Dancer? Right! An!
The AD gives really helps out at pushing towers and who doesn't want extra AD when every 2nd hit deals 250% damage?
Usually the game stops at this point, but if your or the opposing team is very persistent these items seem to be right.
Some lifesteal in form of acan't be wrong and neither can be afor better chasing ability.
Now it's time for some AS again and the 40% armor pen ofjust look to reat not to take it.
Let the Phage evolve into afor more survivability and a more relyable slow.

Especially early game: Watch out not to get killed! It may sound heartless but don't help your teammates if it's useless. Don't defend an almost cracked tower against the entire opposing team. You have a hard time getting your items already so don't waste valuable farming time dead.
ONLY initiate team fights if you don't have a tank. Otherwise you will die early.
ALWAYS initiate ambushes. This is where you can really shine. Charge and pop your combo. Your team will love it.
